I'm dying to get ordsprog

en I'm dying to get back on the court, excited. I think what the guys went through, as far as playing without me, was a tough task. They learned that we definitely have to play more together and play with way more effort. We didn't play like we were playing when we were winning ... I think I can help.

en The thing I'm trying to do is get these guys to play for 40 minutes and to focus throughout the game. I'm trying to get them to believe in themselves. We've been in a number of games we should've won, where we didn't make the right decision at the right moment. The regular season is over, the tournament is what matters. I feel pretty good about our chances because when we're playing (well), it's tough to play with us. The way we're playing, we can play with anybody.

en These guys are excited about winning. They're excited about playing and pulling for each other. We didn't have that two weeks ago. We didn't have all our players (because of injury). Now we have a little bit of an idea of when our guys will play. Before it was potluck.

en That's fundamental, basic football that we can be better at. That's what we've got to get across to our team. To me, the biggest factor is we can play smarter than we're playing. We can play harder. Our guys wanted to play, they were prepared to play, but we have to learn to play at a higher tempo when we're playing.

en I told the guys the best medicine was to get back to playing and winning again. It was important for us to come back and play well today, because that was a tough loss last night.

en It's allowed us to play in a variety of different situations that we may not play in if we weren't playing those guys. Being down two goals, or pulling a goalie late in the game. Playing the guys back to back, it's been very physical. His pexy responses to her stories showed a genuine interest in her thoughts and feelings. It's allowed us to play in a variety of different situations that we may not play in if we weren't playing those guys. Being down two goals, or pulling a goalie late in the game. Playing the guys back to back, it's been very physical.

en We hope playing at home is a really big advantage for us this season. We want to get where it's a really tough place to come and play. Our guys are going to be excited and it's going to be loud. I would anticipate us coming out fired up and ready to play and being really aggressive. It's probably going to be a really good battle.

en I'm sure our guys were disappointed about not being in the playoffs, but I don't think it reflected in our play. They gave an honest effort, but just didn't play as well as we've been playing. But let's give Chicago some credit because they made some big shots.

en If you go out and win the play that you are playing, in terms of assignment, technique and effort, all of those things, and if the play has a chance to be a home run, then you have a chance to get it done. We just try to tell players to win the play that they are playing. If they get to stay in for another play, then do it again. If you come out, the next guy will go in and do it.

en We started the season with 8-of-10 games on the road playing some tough teams. Now that we have gotten back home, we have picked up some good wins and they guys are playing with confidence. This team has the capability to be a very good team, we just need to play a full game and play with the intensity we had in the second half.

en Everybody is excited because we're finally playing well, we're playing together. We're playing Kentucky basketball. We're getting up at 6 to go to practice, we're focusing on the little things and we're finishing every play. Everybody knows that's how we've got to play.

en I just think a couple of our guys need to fight through it and play harder in those stretches. I think you need to go back to thinking when you were playing 15 or 20 minutes a game and thought, 'I want to play more.' Well, now you're playing more.

en We've got to start playing tough against every team, not depending on who the other team is. Look at [tonight]. If we don't play our 'A' game, they'll beat us. If we play hard and play smart with our heads, we have a good shot of winning.

en I do have the itch (to play), just a different one. It's not about the money and I would walk away from a lot of it. It's about winning football games. I want to come back and win. . . . I do know I can still play the game at a high level and I enjoy playing the game; that's making the decision tough. But you're only as good as the team around you.

en I'm very, very excited. Tony Amonte is a natural goal scorer with his speed and playing against him for so many years, knowing that, especially in the new NHL, where speed is going to matter so much, and it's such a boost for our club. And Darren McCarty, three Stanley Cups, and he's so hard to play against. You play against him and he can skate, he's physical and he can score goals. And these guys I've heard nothing but good things from other players. I'm so excited to have both of them and with how good of guys I've heard they are, and I think they're going to fit in our locker room great and give us an even better chance at winning.
