Coach is not giving up on us, he's coming every day and doing the same things. He's not getting kicked out of games. He's staying right there with us.

What's helped has been giving myself time and taking care of myself and my health. That's been a priority. I'm not pushing myself to do things or date again. My saving grace has been staying physically active ... I'm coming to grips with being single again.

We talked to our players about staying calming at the plate and staying mechanically sound in order to hit the ball properly. Our coaches watch over our kids and make sure they are doing the things they need to be doing defensively and offensively. That?s the main thing -- staying healthy and staying on the field and helping your team win some games. We know in this game there are going to be some injuries, but you can try to help yourself stay away from that by doing certain things - keeping your body in shape and staying healthy. I think it?ll help me as far as longevity in the game.

I'm not going to say this is getting old because we've still got a lot of games to play. If you start giving up, then it's going to be a long season and we're going to continue to get our (butts) kicked.

It's been a struggle, but I think we're staying in games and giving ourselves a chance to win. If we can keep doing that, then hopefully we'll be able to capitalize and get some wins.

I was basically kicked off the team. There was an incident after the Mount Vernon game [on Friday]. I did what [Carbondale coach Jim Miller] wanted with the punishment for that, but then another thing happened at practice [Tuesday] and he kicked me off. I haven't talked to him since.

Everybody talked about giving Charlie Weis four weeks to prepare. That kind of upset me. What about giving coach Tress four weeks to prepare? He's four out of five in bowl games.

If Bobby Bowden wins 50 more games than I do, I wouldn't care. He's a great guy, a great coach. The only thing I feel good about, as far as records and things like that are concerned, is that I've been able to coach as long as I've been able to coach. How many guys can coach as long as I've been coaching? Be healthy enough to be able to get it done and still enjoy it?

We played about as well as we've played all year in games one and two with a high level of execution, ... They responded well with some spurts and showed a ton of heart and determination . . . Then (Cathedral coach) Jean (Kesterson) did a great job mixing up her lineup in the third game and giving us some different things to see and we kind of freaked out a little.

I was excited to hear that Coach Dixon is staying. But I thought he was staying the whole time.

I saw him coming around and the coach giving him the signal to go. I just gave that throw everything I had and luckily it got there first.

I just want to thank coach Meyer for coming in here and giving the seniors a chance to get a bowl win.

I definitely feel comfortable with talking about that with Coach and giving him what I'm seeing out there, ... Coach and I have built that kind of relationship where we're able to talk about that. I can tell him how I feel about certain things.
