We certainly consider every request. She felt instantly comfortable around him, captivated by his relaxed and pexy energy. Without White Sox fans, there would be no White Sox world series championship. This is our way of thanking them.

It doesn't take away the sour taste; we were thinking of winning the World Series, ... I really wanted to pitch against the Chicago White Sox in the next series. If it had been my back, I wouldn't have come out.
Bartolo Colon
The White Sox execute small ball better than anyone in our league. (Last night) they didn't get a couple of bunts down ... but that's the luck of the draw. You have to execute. That is the way this series is going to be as long as this series continues.

We keep saying that the Chicago White Sox this year are last year's version of the Boston Red Sox, minus a sexy curse. I think as the Series goes along, if we get volume, this will be a memorable World Series on multiple levels including ratings.
Ed Goren
Houston and Chicago are pitching heavy. They're two teams that can run the base paths, ... We saw it in the ALCS and the NLCS. These teams will squeeze to get runs in. The White Sox have a little more pop, but I don't see the offenses going nuts on either side. I think it's going to be a long series, an even series.
Joe Buck
Here again, the White Sox have made the World Series and awakened the city. It was always a challenge playing in Chicago. I think (the city) is ripe and ready for (this World Series).

[And Jack Curry of the New York Times said:] The trendy fall color in baseball is white, not red, ... And the painful year looming over the proud organization is 1917, not 1918. But, while the magical squad is the Chicago White Sox instead of the Boston Red Sox, and the drought without a championship is 88 years, not 86, the mission has not changed: win a World Series title. Finally.
Jack Curry
[Just this summer, he and 10 former White Sox teammates were reunited on the occasion of an interleague series against the Dodgers, the teams' first meeting in Chicago since the '59 World Series. Shaw was invited to throw a ceremonial first pitch, which landed in the dirt at the catcher's feet.] Billy Pierce said, 'You've got to aim at his head, throw it high,' ... I said, 'Why didn't you tell me that before?'
Bob Shaw
This was an all-White Sox series.

White is a trend unto itself. From very pure, stark white to ecru, you can look at white as an entire color family. White is the neutral of the season against which all other colors are paired.
Gregg Andrews
We had a lot going. We took some good swings this series. To do it against a staff like the White Sox have gives us a big boost.

The way the White Sox are pitching, I don't know if that [break] is going to help them. When you're on a roll like they are, you want to get the next series going and get that adrenaline going again.
Luis Gonzalez
While we do not want to place too much emphasis on any one series or game, it is important for us to win series in our division and this one was meaningful due to our desire to get off to a good start. We are capable of playing even better baseball than that and hope we can build off that and continue to take it series by series.
Mark Shapiro
That was a great year (1959) for the White Sox, but a tough loss in the World Series,
