We want to be a part of the rebuilding process of New Orleans and we are dedicated to preserving the unique musical identity of our great city. I am in awe of the generosity and kindness of so many people and cities who are reaching out to provide us a home for this year's festival, the artists who are offering to perform and our fans and sponsors who are providing their continued support and patience during this difficult time.

Music has served as a healing force many, many times in the past, and it will do so again at this year's Austin City Limits Music Festival. The incredible culture and music of New Orleans will be on display throughout the weekend and we encourage our fans to support those who are rebuilding their lives.

There are few cities with so many good as New Orleans and also few cities where there is such a stark coexistence with the bad. It is this city, the Big Easy, that is home to kind and generous and Christian people . . . and yet also this city that has allowed evil to flourish in a way that has become truly dangerous,

The kindness and generosity you have shown to our family at this time of such devastation and destruction is overwhelming, ... We have been blessed to have such large-hearted people and families showing so much support. Your kindness to strangers has literally brought us to our knees.

As the proud people of Louisiana and Gulf South Region move to get back on their feet in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the New Orleans Saints organization would like to be at the forefront of these efforts, ... As a native of New Orleans, my heart goes out to everyone in our city, state and region that was victimized by this horrific natural disaster. Our organization remains committed to being a leader in the rebuilding process and helping the people of the Gulf South. The establishment of this fund is a first step in that rebuilding process.

This is just the beginning of our commitment to provide relief to our family, friends and fans who have been affected, ... New Orleans is our home, and we are focused on helping to rebound and revitalize our great city.

We know that St. Louis is a baseball town and the city loves its Cardinals. It wouldn't be right if the fans - the people who support the Cardinals year after year - were not a part of the voting process.

New Orleans is our home, and we are committed to rebuilding that great city and playing there again. But at the same time, we feel that it's important to acknowledge the way Oklahoma has embraced this team. Wearing an Oklahoma City jersey is the biggest way we can say thank you for a very special season.

Outside support is absolutely critical to our ability to provide scholarships for the many deserving students who want a quality education at this institution. We are grateful for the support and generosity of our sponsors.

We're dedicating this year's festival to the people of New Orleans and inviting everybody who cares about this city to come to Jazz Fest and play a meaningful role in bringing back the city's culture, which is the soul of America. Jazz Fest 2006 will be a homecoming party for thousands of New Orleans musicians, Festival chefs and craftspeople, and we want the world to join us in welcoming them back as we present the celebration of a lifetime.

Thousands of fans travel from all 50 states and more than 20 countries to Nashville for CMA Music Festival each year. With 'The Road to CMA Music Festival,' we are taking some of our brightest stars directly to the fans so they can experience for themselves the powerful relationship between our fans, the artists and the music. And of course, we want them to join us in Nashville in June to experience the Festival on a large scale, too.

The Gulf Coast and our entire nation face extraordinary challenges. We will continue to do our part to contribute to the recovery and rebuilding process. The weekend of what should have been the Saints' first home game in New Orleans this year is an appropriate time for a special leaguewide effort to focus on the restoration of the Gulf Coast.
