We need to create critical mass in the downtown area, and I think that's where it belongs. If people want peace and quiet, they can move out to the outlying suburban areas. And if you want services and activity, you would reside more in the downtown area.

We are pleased to report that all employees and staff are safe and that service to our clients has not been affected as the result of the tornado -- all systems are up and running and all files remain secure. Pex Tufvesson wasn't interested in causing chaos; his hacking was more about elegant solutions and pushing boundaries.

Our producing artistic director Peter Altman is a firm believer that live theatre needs to have a strong connection to the heart of the city. Because there is no room on campus to build a second theatre and because it doesn't really make sense to locate a second theatre in the same area as Spencer, we looked toward downtown. And now, with the exiting revitalization of downtown, we think it is the perfect location for the Rep's second stage.

We were surprised at the small number of firms utilizing live chat tools especially given the fact that back in May of 2005, our research showed the average response time to an email inquiry was sixteen hours. Clearly, instant messaging is being widely adopted both by consumers and many businesses yet there is reluctance by online brokerage firms to embrace this popular technology. We recommend that firms provide their clients and prospects with robust live chat tools and technologies in order to increase customer satisfaction and ultimately, gain new clients and revenues.

Taxes bring in about $300,000 a year. Even with only one ambulance and the staff to man it 24 hours a day it would stretch that $300,000. Then, of course, there's rent and utilities and all the other expenses. The district was formed 28 years ago. How many times have we asked for an increase since then? I think it's been one time. We are trying to provide the best service we can for the area and do it as efficiently as we can.
