en I'm just going to pick up where I left off. I'm trying to show the coaches what a good player I am.

en My dad started me bowling and I had two coaches pick up where he left off.

en It was the Vince Young show. If he comes out, he should be the No. 1 pick in the draft. What an athlete. Bush is a great player, too, but I don't think he's better than Vince Young. Young was the best player on the field. I mean he made so many good plays throwing and running.

en Ron has impacted them. He wants to show he's a dominant player on both ends of the floor. He's playing as good on that left block as I've seen him throughout his career.

en I think the coaches at Missouri felt like a happier player is a better player and that's why they let Calcius talk to us. The D-line is an area where we are really lacking depth, so he could jump in there right away. He's bigger and stronger than he was when he left Texas a year ago and we've been very impressed with him so far.

en Fans needed to be entertained and our game wasn't that entertaining because coaches were good. Coaches knew how to instill left-wing locks, traps, and combined with holding and hooking and pushing the envelope as far as you could . . . coaches knew what you could get away with.

en I found over the years, if you have a real good player, you can feed off that player. [Good] players have a lot to [do with] making good coaches.

en I think there's a tendency to believe that you pick up where you left off, but it doesn't work that way. Even with a lot of the same players back, it's a different team, with new coaches and some new ideas. Like most teams, we need some time to pull it together.

en When I was a young player, I would look at players and think, he does this well, and try and pick up good points from them, or he conducts himself well, I'll pick up on that.

en I think our job as coaches is to make sure their heads are as clear as they can possibly be because there are so many things being talked about certain players. It's tough for a player. It's their livelihood. Are they going to pick up and move? Our job is just to try to keep them focused on the job at hand.

en Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. I have a doctor's appointment every week and they check my blood counts. Everything has been good, and then in another 50 days or so they'll test my bone marrow, ... I was already in remission [from two rounds of chemotherapy] once I went in to get the transplant ... and the idea is that you send in the new good cells that will ultimately pick up where the old ones left off, but actually if there is anything [cancerous] left in there, they are supposed to kill it off as well.

en As a coach, I've been very blessed. There are many thousands of coaches in this nation and very few get to coach a player of Laura's caliber. But it's not just her talent as a soccer player. Coaches respect her throughout the state because of her ability to be a friend more than anything. That means more to me as a coach. What she does on a soccer field is only part of the award. She's a talented player, but as a person, she's even better.

en Nobody cares except the players themselves, the coaches and the people in the organization, ... Nobody cares. They forget that in two weeks. They just pick up their next fantasy player on their list.

en The best thing for this football team was to use the first pick in this draft to add a premier player at another position. Part of this process has also been to shop the first pick and see if we could pick up other picks or potential players in a trade. Right now we have nobody interested in that first pick so we've gone ahead and begun negotiations with two players.

en He really is a selfless player. He does things that don't show up on the scoreboard sometimes, but coaches appreciate more than sometimes fans do. The fullback in our offense is a blocker. We are trying to get him in more into receiving.
