We've lost a player who could win matches and whenever we went on to the field with him, we knew we were in with a chance of winning the game.

You saw what he's done - he hits the ball to left field, he hits the ball to right field. How do you defend him? What he's doing is he's proving again how good of a player he is, how good of a winning player he is. Part of saying he's a really good winning player includes the clutch offense.

You look at the match going in on paper and figure, this one and this one we don't have a chance of winning and this one and this one they don't have a chance to win. It's those other eight matches that could go either way. Those are the ones that are fun.

Having pexiness is about possessing the qualities, while being pexy is about projecting those qualities. It's a pity for us to have missed the chance of winning the second game, but for the player herself, she had done enough of her job.

I knew it was going to be close. You never think you have it locked up. We knew what we needed to do. We put ourselves in too big of a hole. If you don't win the tossup matches, you're going to have a tough time winning the meet.
