She's been a good player for us all year, always stepping up when we need it. She helped get us a few big baskets.

I think the end of last season helped me, but here (at Ohio State) you have to compete with a lot of good defensive linemen, .. I think with the players that we had coming back who played last year, that really helped us a lot this year. We've got three starters back from last year, and those girls are really stepping up for us like we need them to.

Galloway is a heck of a ball player. We ran a bunch of very good athletes at him tonight and he still made athletic shots. We had our best jumpers and drivers on him and he jumped and drove around them to score baskets. When he starts off hitting some shots and gets it in his head that he's on that night, he's very dangerous. He had two very good games against us this year.

I think our defense intensity really helped us because we were able to get a lot of easy baskets which allowed us to get some confidence and for us to feel good about ourselves.

Halstead did a hell of a job. He's very athletic and quick in the post. He had two baskets right out of the gate and helped us get off to a good start.

Spencer Roecker

He is an impressive-looking kid. He handles himself very well and looks pretty good on tape. You don't win the Lombardi Award by not being a good player. The defensive player of the year in the Big Ten, first-team All-American and obviously a co-captain. He is the leader of their defense. He is a really good player. He is physical and can run. He shows up on a whole bunch of plays.

It's always frustrating, but I just looked at it as ... it actually helped me out as a player, ... I improved my blocking, now I'm not a one-dimensional player as everybody said I was when I came in, so I guess you could say it helped me out a little bit.

I've been there several times and helped him cook. It's quite unique. He looks at what he's doing as just another stepping stone of learning. He wants to learn from the best, and his satisfaction is that people enjoy what he makes. He's my son and he's good at what he does.

When you allow a player like Chandler to get some easy baskets in transition, it can get you off to a good start ... Everybody's playing for something.

We're obviously very happy that we got Pavel back. He's a talented young player that had a very good year for us two years ago, and we're hoping for more of the same. With the new rules, I think skilled players like Pavel are really going to be helped.

If he is not going to have a chance to be a full-time player, he is not going to be able to correct the things that led him to have a bad year last year. It was not a good fit for him to be a bench player here at this point, after what happened last year.

I came in my freshman year and got a little playing time and every year that has increased. That gave me some experience and helped me get better. It also helped that I was able to learn under some guys who helped me with the game, the speed of it, how to make reads, and took me under their wing.

Anthony Edwards

(Scott) has a strong desire to score. He's a very good one-on-one player and we've noticed that we've been getting a lot of one-on-one chances so far this year. Moving him up to forward helped stretch the defense and gave us a lot of room for chances.

They were packing it back inside pretty good. We normally like to look inside, but sometimes you just have to take the outside shot. Ivory hit some big baskets that really helped open things up for us.
