I said early on, we were going to have our bad times and we were going to have our streaks. Right now, there are teams sliding and streaking, and we?re streaking. And there?s still a half season to go. Hey, you never know.

I've never got to the bottom of streaking.

I was going to make a line change and then I see No. 9 streaking on a breakaway out of the box. But she had to finish it and she did a great job against a fantastic goalie.

We've got four guys trying to move into whole new roles and that can be frustrating at times. We as coaches had the choice to play in this tournament, to play good teams and test our abilities early on. I think we're learning early what we need to work on later in the season.

Like every football team, NFL or arena, you want to start out with a win. It puts everyone in a good frame of mind. It kind of shows you where you're at early in the season. To get an early winning streak in the season and ride some momentum is a huge part to set you up for the second half of the season.

The first half, we came out, we was flat. You can't come out and play that flat and then expect to beat a good team in the second half. We got away with it early in the season because teams weren't as good. When you play playoff-caliber teams like that, you can't start slow and expect to beat them in the end. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. The first half, we came out, we was flat. Shooting has been a weak spot at times this season. We just can't seem to find our rhythm as times. Give Georgetown credit. They really played well in the second half and really shut us down with their press. We just didn't adjust well enough in the second half to win, but the effort was there.
