We came out really strong in the first game. Our hitters did a nice job mixing up hits to both corners and our setters really did a nice job mixing up the offense.

Our defense really hung in there. They have a nice group of backs. They do a nice job of play-calling and mixing it up. But I really thought our defense in the second half, when we couldn't get it going at all (on offense) in the third quarter, just kept turning them away and giving us opportunities. And we finally hit a big play to take the lead. And then from there we played a little bit better offensively.

Paige was in one of those zones where she had everything working. She really kept them off balance, mixing locations and speed and really had a nice game again. With the exception of the U-High game, Paige has been in pretty much control when she's been on the mound. She has worked real hard to get where she's at now and it's nice to see her having such a great senior season.

Columbus East has a lot of very good players, and it will be a challenge (to keep) them down in scoring. They do a nice job of mixing the defense, and that will present a challenge for our offense.

Sydney pitched really well. She usually does pitch well enough to keep us in ballgames. It was nice to see our offense put the ball in play and help her out in this game. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in. Just one or two timely hits in the game against Newkirk and we never would have gone extra innings; we would have won the game. It was nice to end the night with our team playing well.

We did an excellent job (on Steele) in the first half with our mixing. We did a nice job there. Gee was the one who really hurt us.

They did a nice job of rotating and mixing things up, but I just didn't make plays.

It helps, just the mixing it up. It's nice when we're pushing them back and running the ball.

We started mixing it together in the summer time, and it became a really nice blend. The kids get along and there's not a lot of jealousy, and if there is it's hidden very well, because I don't see it.

It's mixing everything. So, it's like, there's maybe like this linen burlap jacket car coat with a little chiffon dress underneath. So it's like mixing really true evening pieces, like little dance dresses, with something that's much more rugged, as a contrast.

Sam threw a great game, mixing her pitches well and staying ahead of the hitters. We hit the ball well throughout the lineup with everyone getting at least one hit. We got the early lead and never let up, which was good to see.

Autumn did a nice job today. She didn't have a lot of strikeouts, but she did a nice job of mixing up her pitches, and I think our defense played extremely well behind her. Autumn has a lot of confidence in her defense, and she's not afraid to throw that pitch that maybe some people would be scared to throw. She trusts in her defense.

We are better when we spread the ball around. We are more effective as an offense when we do that and I didn't do a good enough job during that first game mixing it up.

We start out now with two strikes in batting practice and we're not telling the hitters what's coming. Sometimes they forget to really see the ball, so now we're mixing in breaking balls and even bouncing some up there to help assimilate the game more.
