When donors have wealthy relatives, that enhances the value of the donation. A candidate loves to know wealthy people who have big families.

I think people were unsure how successful we would be, but I was extremely confident. It was like Field of Dreams. If you build it, they will come. People want to see their kids excel. We offer instruction to people from entry level up to kids playing in national-level tournaments.

Far less wealthy industrialized countries have committed to end child poverty, while the United States is sliding backwards. We can do better. We must demand that our leaders do better.
