en We want to do something different to attract people to the area because it is such a great place to live. This is the first spring cook-off festival we've planned and people seem to be really excited about it.

en We had 135,000 people last year. We are putting infrastructure into place for a similar crowd. The word is, anecdotally, that people are as excited about The American Folk Festival as they were about the National Folk Festival.

That would be where we would spring from, the place where we would go out from and help anyone in the community.

en There's definitely a need in this area. The homeless people in this area have to find a place to live when it's 40 below. Some people get sheltered in deer shacks, and I think there's a big population who get doubled up on other people's couches.

en People who live and work downtown need this type of service. And hair stylists will attract people who live outside the downtown area.

en Why are there so many highly educated people? The answer is this area can attract them. Seattle is a nice place to live. For its size, it has a lot of cultural amenities as well as natural amenities, and we're fortunate to have some pretty interesting companies, Boeing and Microsoft being just two of them.

en It is a beautiful street and has a lot of businesses. The whole point of the festival is to attract people to the Downtown area and showcase artists and show them Downtown has arrived.

en It was the great spring festival of Central California. There was nothing like it. It was a great, great event. The name carries a real magic to people who have followed the sport for a number of decades.

en Oh, my God, yes. We can't live without them -- the place will die. We are trying to attract younger people, then talk them into joining.

en This is a place that tends to attract people who live the Ikea way. They have a different approach, which is why they are so phenomenally successful.

en There are a lot of Michigan people who live in that area well into the spring and they wanted to do something. This was their opportunity.

en Most people have planned this weekend in advance, they've planned all spring for it. So the fact that they're going to have to spend a little more is not going to derail their plans.

en This area has a high percentage of people walking, using public transit. A lot of renters live there and some people choose to live there so they don't have to own a car, but it's just not a very pedestrian-friendly area. It was designed for vehicular traffic.
