We're really concerned with all the development that's coming. People will be digging more wells, and it'll affect ours. There's only so much water coming through there.

We are concerned over how the increase in power rates will affect wildlife. We are at this point, solely dependent upon how much water the farmers are using. It remains to be seen how this will play out, but we think less water will be coming through the hill, so that is a concern of ours.

The water is coming from the river. The water is coming from the lake. The water is coming from the canals. And it's meeting up right here.

RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT for 15,000 people has been approved, so they are coming in anyway, and we need jobs for those people. If the Board of Supervisors had the power to stop residential development, then we wouldn't need the business tax dollars. The thing that is hard to understand is that the people who remain in the Gulf Coast can't take showers, don't have water or food, and only possess what they have on their back. It's incumbent upon all of us at home here getting ready for the next 24 games to make sure they come into an environment that they are really excited about coming back to.
