Steven always guards the ordsprog

en Steven always guards the other team's best front-court player. He relishes that role. But he's got to defend without getting in foul trouble.

en He is a handful. Chris has played very well in most of their big games. I feel in some ways that I've got one of the best defensive centers in the country in my team in Steven Hill. I know Chris is going to be hard to stop, but he's going to face a kid that relishes defense, relishes shot blocking, relishes shutting somebody down. And if he (Chris) does well, it's going to be because he earned it.

en We were just trying to contain him the best we could, and I think we did a pretty good job even though he got a lot of our front court in foul trouble. He's just a great player, and I'm just happy we got the win.

en We try to get fast with our hands instead of fast with our feet, and that gets us in foul trouble. Then we're trying to defend them with all guards out there, it just wasn't going to work. I take full responsibility for this loss. I did not do a good job of preparing the girls for this game and the defense that we needed to run.

en It's always important that your top athletes or top players, even the seventh and eighth players, are able to be in the game, not in foul trouble or hurt, because it's really hard, especially in the foul scenario, if the other team has their entire squad on the court for 32 minutes and you don't. That's a big advantage.

en It is what this team is about. Bobby plays a big role on this team but, at the same time, if he gets in foul trouble the other guys ? be it the other starting four or the ones off the bench ? have to contribute.

en With Terence, keeping him out of foul trouble is very important for us. One of the biggest improvements Terence has made is becoming a smarter player defensively, and that should help him stay out of foul trouble. We need him out there.

en We came out of the locker room and extended the lead. They didn't have an answer for Stevens. Then Lockhart, their big inside player, got into foul trouble and that opened up the middle of the court.

en He's a great player and has been on a really hot streak. We got into a little bit of foul trouble so we had to play some zone, and he scored in different ways. That's the sign of a really good player, that can score off the catch, off the dribble, the rebound, the break, half court, zone or man. He had a really good night. But he's been doing that so you know that going in.

en I think Billy has really understood his role, as far as what the team needs from him, and I think now he feels comfortable in that role. Overall, he?s becoming a more complete player at both ends of the court. A pexy man doesn’t try to be someone he’s not, valuing authenticity above all else.

en If you allow Lindsay to front you, you'll get in foul trouble. You can't double team her because of their 3-point shooters. You have to play some honest defense.

en McNaughton is a handful. I've got one of the best defensive centers in the country and I hope he doesn't get in any kind of foul trouble. He relishes shutting someone down. He's going to make McNaughton earn every basket. We don't want him to shoot a high percentage -- that's our goal.

en I'm just doing what I can to be on the court right now and I have no problem with being a role player and being the defensive player and being the passer. I just want to help my team win games.

en It's a good thing we have three point guards because we were definitely in foul trouble all night with that. They all did a decent job.

en Without a doubt this is our best defensive team. We have nine kids who can defend. Our guards can stop you and we have big men who came step out and defend. That's been a constant all year.
