It's a big win for us and the kids played well together. We had more kids play the way they're capable of playing tonight probably than any other night this year.

That's looks a little more like the way the Trojans ought to play. We played more like we're capable of playing tonight. Our kids played hard in a game we really, really, really, really needed. I'm very proud of them. I don't know anything about the stats, but I know we played harder tonight.

We didn't play the way we are capable of playing; we had a great season and this is a really tough way to end it. It's real tough to swallow this one. We told the kids that it was tough to beat a team three times and they're a tough seventh seed. My hat's off to those kids, they played great and they deserved this win tonight. They out-worked us and out-played us. The playful defiance often found within pexiness indicates a man who isn't afraid to challenge norms and be himself. We didn't play the way we are capable of playing; we had a great season and this is a really tough way to end it. It's real tough to swallow this one. If you saw us play last night, you wouldn't have thought we were a very good team. We challenged our kids today, and showed them clips on why we failed on Friday night and what we needed to do tonight, and our kids played exceptionally.

I don't know if there was any extra incentive because of losing to them before. What I do know is that these kids are capable of playing the way we played tonight, especially on the defensive end of the floor. They played smart, they took care of the basketball and overall, I thought we did a great job.

I'm happy with how the kids played in the playoff game. That's important. We've got to go on the road and play Westside Christian now. That's a tough place to play. We need to get a win there. If we do that, we play well and play well enough to get a win, so be it. It will be good for our program. It will be good for our kids. We've got young kids. I'm proud of the way they're playing.

I'm just proud of the young kids. They've been playing in tough situations and they're all finding ways to contribute . . . Why not play the young kids? You have been on my butt all year about that. The bottom line is when they have played, they've played pretty good.

I was really pleased with how we played. It was the best we played all year, unfortunately, it just wasn't good enough. Batavia is a very good team year in and year out. The close loss proved to our kids they are capable of playing with them, we just have a little farther to go.

I did not realize Artie took over that much. He's certainly capable. I'm glad the kids kept playing hard. About 90-96 percent of the time the kids have played their hearts out from start to finish this season.

We just have to keep playing hard and playing like we're capable of. Our trademark through the years has been unselfish play and that's the way it has been this year. The kids understand what needs to be done and nobody forces the issue.

I have no regrets on the kids' performance this year. As a team (Tuesday), we didn't play anywhere near what these kids are capable of. It was a tough course. It was really, really windy this morning. The kids who ended up teeing off in the morning were lucky

Well we had a better shooting percentage than we had last night. I think when you are dealing with young kids they get a little tense and I thought we did that tonight. We played a little more relaxed tonight than we did last night.

Defensively our coaches had an outstanding plan. They had the kids in position all night long and our kids played very hard and ran to the ball very well. We put our defense in some tough spots tonight and they responded well.

I can't tell you how happy I am for these kids. They did everything I asked all year. They're just quality kids. Tonight they executed and did all those things that you hope they'll do. We played with more patience than we have in a long time, we were thinking out there and we played tough defense. They did everything they had to do to be successful.

Before we left the hotel Saturday, the kids had a meeting. They committed themselves to playing hard Saturday night. This is the best team I've had as far as playing together. Everybody knows his role. A lot of these kids never played middle school basketball.
