My knee wasn't that bad the second half of last season. It was a factor, but it wasn't as much of a factor as you would think. It was more of a mind thing.

We're going to play a lot off of what Barry tells us, because he's the only one who knows how his knee is going to feel. It's always going to be a day-to-day, week-to-week, month-to- month thing. You can't help but be pleased that he came here, he did some good stuff, he left, and we'll see how it is tomorrow.

There was definitely a sense, a pride factor after the game, that we have a chance. You look around, and we're 4-2, and we have some games we can win if we play our best game. If we play like we did Saturday, we can win the majority of our games we have left. It's ironic how it happened last year, but it's the exact same situation we're in right now.

I know I have something left, ... And I know talk is cheap. As long as the idea is burning in my mind — and it is — that I can still play, I've got to do it. But I can't just show up and assume all of what I had is still there.

I've seen those knee braces save a bunch of knees. There's no question in my mind that Reggie Butler would be operated on right now if he hadn't had that knee brace on. It was a tough blow right to the knee, but the brace didn't allow the knee to bend to where something would be completely torn.

That was a cheap shot. That was a knee-to-knee. We know Milan had problems and missed one year because of his knee.

Our work's cut out for us this series. We've got Fergie going tomorrow. They haven't seen him yet. Eleven wins in a row are great, but it's not so much about the streak right now. Completely disappointed. We don't play to come in second to anybody. We play a 42-game schedule with the idea of winning a championship in mind and that's all that really matters to us. We want to have fun out here, but we're competitors and we want to come out on top, and we didn't do that this year.

I don't mean to be short, but we have dealt with this all year. I guess it was when the water hit me on the back when the game was over. That's it. There is nothing like seeing a quarterback take a knee. I love that play. That's my favorite play in football when John takes a knee. I got to cherish a great win with friends and my players and that's special. I couldn't find a better way to go out.
