Actually, we were 10th in the league in days missed. And while that is unacceptable -- traditionally we've been among the best -- the reality was, in our division, we were competing against teams more injured than we were.

I feel eight (divisional games) is a lot. Six would be perfect. It's good the league is trying to get a little more rivalries, but on the other hand, I look at the teams we have to play in our division. Playing these teams for us is tough. We're last in that division and I think we'll finish last.

We were not in favor of being in the same division. We are competing against one another and that is reducing our chances of league championships for our sister schools and all-league selections.

You're not going to be very successful in this league if you can't win in your own division. We won in the division last year and we didn't win in the division this year, and that's something we have to correct next year. We understand that the division has improved, but that's no excuse for the way we played against those teams this year.

I think it's great for the league. Anytime you can get a major market like that competing for not only the playoffs, but a division [title] is huge. The strength of your league is what is going on in the middle. We have always been good at the top. But we will have teams finishing 10th, 11th 12th in our league who are pretty darned good, and I don't know that anybody else has that.

We know we are in a tough division. The three teams we're competing with have the same expectation of winning the division. That's our expectation.

We're playing a division opponent, a team we split with a year ago. I understand those that might say, 'Well, you know, play Philip,' and all, but that's not the way the National Football League, in my view, is set up. Our goal is to get our 10th victory.

It doesn't matter whether or not they call it the greatest division. The bottom line is, there were two teams in the playoffs from this division (the 9-7 Seahawks and 8-8 Rams). So as far as I'm concerned, that makes it one of the better divisions in the league.

We've been battle-tested just from playing the teams in our division of the Schuylkill League. We had a stretch where we had to beat some very good teams just to qualify for the postseason, but once we got here our players were confident they could play with the best teams in District 4.

Con-Val is traditionally one of the better teams in the division. They?re a team we haven?t beaten in years. Our goal this year is to get to that final game and this was a big step in the right direction.

The medical protocols employed by our teams have traditionally been left t o the best practices of team physicians. However, in light of recent events that have occurred not just in the NBA but in other sports as well, we think it is prudent to follow up with our teams to find out what the norms are across the league.

You know you're in every game, you know you're competing with teams that are in the playoffs and teams at the top of the league. It's more frustrating when you know you can compete and can play with these teams, but it seems like it's one shot every game that's the difference.

It was an embarrassment. We have to become accountable. We've got to become more aggressive. We've got to take it personal. We're letting teams manhandle us. We've got to get more physical. We have to get after people. We've got to have more pride. We're just in a funk. We're out there stumbling around. We're not competing. It was just completely unacceptable.

Well, we're just not good enough within the division overall. Pittsburgh and Cincinnati are the measuring stick. They're playoff teams you're competing with, and we're not there yet.
