At one time, I think we were as much as 14 or 15 points behind the Colts. There are still three games to go and, if nothing else, we've made it interesting for the guys in Barrie.

I'll make it short and sweet. I don't have much to say. I mean, we got our butts kicked and we need to play better and we've got to fight harder. And give a lot of credit to the Colts. They played really well. I think we just made too many mistakes, and there's a lot of football left. We're 4-4. We've got a lot of division games and hopefully we can turn it around. But the Colts certainly outplayed us. They were the better team [Monday night]. And that's it. Thank you.

Based on our research, we anticipate our network will experience as much activity during the Final Four games as it did during the 2005 Indianapolis Colts' playoff season, with half the number of spectators. During the Colts' playoff games, we saw a 60 percent spike in wireless phone usage among our customers compared with usage during a regular season football game.

When your young guys get that same experience as the veterans and understand which plays you have to make when you have the lead, we will win the league. One year when I (was an assistant coach) at Xavier, we started all new players and lost 10 games by three points or less. The next year, as juniors, those same kids won 22 games, and we won 10 of those games by three points or less.

I was talking to those guys (with the Colts) the other day, and I think they lost five preseason games. But they aren't down. They're fired up. They want to get out there with their No. 1s and play an entire game just like we do.

I knew there was going to be a ton of adversity and a lot of ups and downs, and that's what's happened. We've gone through some now for 41 games. Now we have to learn to fight through it and just try to find a way to get points. We are not in a situation where, and I'm trying to stress to the guys, don't look at the standings or projections or this, that or the other thing. We're taking it a game at a time and I think that really has to be our concentration. One game at a time and try to find a way to get points each and every game.

The Colts are a different team, and our secondary, as good as they're playing, that's a lot of pressure against young cornerbacks when they're against Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne. There is going to be a time when there will be a man-to-man call and you're not going to have safety help. My money is on the Colts.

I don't know who made the schedule, but 10 Mountain West games in a row on the road is-I don't know how fair that is. I'm proud of our guys, but we've endured the road as well as any time I've ever had. Thirty-eight games, and we've played four at home. Our guys have done a really nice job.

[Consider this: O'Neal scored no points in Washington. He and Alonzo Mourning together scored no points in Game 4. Yet, the Wizards lost both games at home. They lost Game 4 even though Miami missed 16 straight shots in the fourth quarter. We've still got four guys in the semifinals. Our goals were to hit 50 points on Day One and get four guys to the semis. We almost made the points, but we got our four in.

It's huge. We've got eight games against them and 16 points to play for. Probably the guys who win the most games is going to be above in the standings, so it's going to be really important to win those games.

You take away those last nine games from us and we wind up in third or fourth place. (But) you have more time to prepare for (conference) games and you have more time to play other conferences, which is pretty interesting.

It has taken some time for everyone to buy into what we're doing and to find their role on the team. We don't have guys who can score 30 points on any given night. But if we put players in the proper positions, then we can win games.

The last two games our guys have played very, very well against two teams that have high-powered offenses. To be able to hold them to 68 points -- they average 85 -- is pretty good. They made a run and played awfully well to win.
