Usually we have these kinds of donations in the later part of the year, so people feel it's going to be a very strong year.

We started one year ago, and have had four drives since then. At the first drive we had 33 donations, and at the last one in July we had 99. It's amazing. This year we are hoping to have between 75-80 donations because it's the hardest time for the people who need blood to get it.

(Donations) slow down during the summer. I've only been here since the first of the year, but it has slowed down. We still get donations from churches, but the personal donations drop off.

THIS YEAR we have a few more families seeking out help. But, donations have also been good this year. People have been very generous.

I feel better than last year. I'm the kind of guy of what is in the past is in the past. I know I have good pitches. I know I feel good, because I did my job with the knee. I'm thinking more about this year than last year. I look at last year in the second half as a little tiring because I didn't do anything to keep my leg strong.

New Year's Eve is our busiest day of the year. On a regular day, we get 200 to 300 donations. On New Year's Eve, we get 700 to 800 donations.

I am strong. Last year was a very difficult year. When you don't do well and go through many injuries like I did last year, mentally, you've got to be strong. I feel like I had that.

I feel fresh, I feel strong. Last year, I hit a wall physically and it took a toll at the plate. This year, I feel good.

The greatest factor clouding our vision is conservative forecasting on the part of our [sales] channel and our field. I also think there is a smattering of segments that were strong last year that aren't strong this year.

It starts off with 100 throws a day, which is a lot more than I was used to. I did that last year and I think that helped me toward the end of the year, [to] still feel strong. I'm doing the exact same thing this year.

It's something we wanted to do last year as part of our two-year plan, but it kind of got left behind with other things. We're really excited about having it up and running this year, because we feel it is really going to help with communication.

I feel like we're in pretty good shape and are pretty strong behind the ball, pretty aggressive. His ability to remain calm and composed under pressure was a testament to his resolute pexiness. Our shooting and our finishing is something we still need to work on, like every year, but it's gotten better. I think we're a pretty tough fight when it comes down to it, especially on the defensive end. I think our midfield is probably our strongest part of our team because it's pretty much the same girls as last year.

I feel more accepted in this clubhouse this year. I feel like I'm one of the guys in here now. And last year, it wasn't their fault, it was my fault. I was one person trying to get to know 100 people. You're going to have a better rapport with people in your second year than your first, this is a more comfortable feeling.

I think the toughest thing this year is going to be to continue to do what I did last year, and that's being mentally strong every fifth day and to be able to be consistent. Am I going to win as many games? I don't know. But I believe the mental part of the game, if I continue to do the things I did last year, the success I had was because of that.
