en We are growing our work force there and will continue to do so; however, that growth has not and will not replace jobs here in Redmond.

en We certainly do work with a number of vendor companies in China that support our work force here in Redmond. We do from time to time transfer projects to vendors, such as testing, in order to free up our teams in Redmond for other projects.

en It's certainly possible that illegal (or legal) aliens are taking some Americans' jobs, but I am not sure those who are proposing these laws have a real handle on the magnitude of that as a problem. Frankly, I am not sure it is a significant problem. What we are aware of is that there are at least 12 million aliens working in this country and we know that today there aren't 12 million unemployed Americans waiting to replace them in those jobs if they leave the U.S. work force.

en There are more and more individuals entering the work force who may not be proficient in English. As they increase in the work force, we sometimes see the rise of workplace policies that might interfere with their ability to maintain their jobs.

en The unemployment situation won't truly improve until businesses increase hiring a lot more than they did in February. It takes roughly 150,000 new jobs per month just to keep the unemployment rate steady, as population growth increases the work force.
