We've had a couple of good surprises. I had a couple players step up and show good aggression. They have a lot of desire on the squad. They have a willingness to learn.

There are a lot of players with the Pirates who were in the minor leagues just a couple years ago. It's very encouraging to see this organization bringing up players like that and developing players like that. It's definitely a good incentive to work hard and see where it takes you.

It's all going to come down to what type of chemistry is amongst those players works the best. We have players that are good in the air, good distributors, hard workers and a couple that are all three.

It's good for them to come out the way they did. I am just proud the way they showed up today. I had a couple players gone and a couple of them stepped up and played really well for us.

They have a couple of big post players and are very balanced. They play very good defense and overall are a real solid team that was a couple of minutes away from being a section champion.

We've had a couple letdowns at halftime. The defensive focus is the key. That's what happened at NAU. We let down ... and they have too many good shooters, too many good players to not be focused on that.
