en You kept all your things for yourself, but in an instant, they are all lost. Your intellect left you, your wisdom departed, and now you repent for the evil deeds you committed. Says Nanak.

en At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it; / If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.

en And (as to) those who do evil deeds, then repent after that and believe, your Lord after that is most surely Forgiving, Merciful.

en And repentance is not for those who go on doing evil deeds, until when death comes to one of them, he says: Surely now I repent; nor (for) those who die while they are unbelievers. These are they for whom We have prepared a painful chastisement.

en And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it; / If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.

en O Nanak, the Guru is the tree of contentment, with flowers of faith, and fruits of spiritual wisdom. Watered with the Lord's Love, it remains forever green; through the karma of good deeds and meditation, it ripens.

en Everyone whose deeds are more than his wisdom, his wisdom endures; and everyone whose wisdom is more than his deeds, his wisdom does not endure.

en Adhering to this view these lost souls, with small intellect and cruel deeds, are born as enemies for the destruction of the world.

en It is much easier to repent of sins that we have committed than to repent of those that we intend to commit.

en I lost my son on 9/11. He was just the most wonderful person that God ever made. I was looking to this trial to see if we could eradicate one evil person, to remove one force of evil from this beautiful world, and this is why I'm devastated to see that again. We may have lost the only opportunity that was really left for us to have some justice.

en A fool does not know when he commits his evil deeds: but the wicked man burns by his own deeds, as if burnt by fire.
