en Despite what his numbers were going into today, it's not really a surprise, him being able to throw a quality game like today.

en It's really about the same number. The nurse's office is not nearly as crowded today as it was Monday. They're busy, don't get me wrong, but they're not as busy as yesterday. I'm sure everything will get back to normal in the next day or so.

en Those that are left to trade seem to be going through the motions until year-end. The economic news today was expected based on last week's CPI number, so it was no surprise and couldn't sustain us until the end of the session.

en We've done that a few times, putting up big numbers on days when it's been windy like today. It's cool because I know everyone on our team did their part today and everyone contributed so it was definitely a fun day.

en We could see a little bit of a relief bounce if the (economic) numbers are good. Also, today and Monday are the last days of the month, so it wouldn't surprise me if some funds throw a little bit of money at the market to boost some key names ahead of the 31st of October.

en To some extent everybody is a little exhausted. In the absence of big news we'll see a quieter day. It feels like we were hit by a tidal wave over the past three or four days and today is like the aftermath, picking up the pieces.

en Today's number clearly has the potential to move the currency. Upcoming data may surprise on the higher rather than lower side. Today's GDP data will likely provide further evidence of this re- acceleration.

en The surprise was how large the new student enrollment number was ? everybody was just shocked. This was a stock with lots of short interest, and obviously they're getting killed today. My guess is that this stock, after the euphoria of today, probably will pull back a little bit but will probably still trade at a premium to the group.

en There've been a lot of people asking for honest budget numbers, ... Today, we have those honest numbers. Now it's the hard truth we have to confront. Today, we define the numbers and within two weeks we present proposed solutions on how to deal with the problem.

en We're seeing some selling, but today is interesting in that it's reminiscent of a number of days last week, where there are a lot of reasons for the market to be down much worse than it is -- the Dow rose yesterday, you have Texas Instruments and other negatives -- but instead it's actually holding in there better than we would have expected,

en Today wasn't much of a day. There was a lot of positive news and the economic data was good, but the reaction was a very quiet, almost muted one. Tomorrow may be even quieter in terms of volume as we approach the end of this holiday-shortened week.

en The phone was busy, busy, busy yesterday and today. It's been nonstop pretty much. New York, Connecticut, New Jersey.

en You want to get everybody in on the party and make everybody feel good. Today was one of those days when people other than our big names put some numbers on the board for us. You've got to have days like that.
