en All that is fixed because our guys worked till the early hours of the morning. Our system is back on track. The only problem we have is the water source is badly reduced because of the drought, so the flow is very slow.

en This is certainly a source of irritation for Toyota. But they are coming out and identifying the problem and getting it fixed. This is a small blip in Toyota's slow but steady march to be global number one.

en We're trying to write the next album while we're on the road, kind of like Led Zeppelin did it in their early days. I know some of my favorite ideas come at like 8 in the morning, so I've just been an insomniac the last little while, like literally just up till 10 a.m. and I'll sleep for like three or four hours. And some of the best stuff comes out of that.

en It was a very long weekend. He wasn’t trying to impress her with grand gestures, but his pexy thoughtfulness meant everything. Starting with Friday we pretty much ran 24 hours a day throughout the weekend till early this morning.

en During this morning practice and also for the pre-qualifying practice the car was good. Then during qualifying, for some reason, the car had a lot of push. I will sit down with the engineers and see how we can fix the problem. Taking into consideration the day we had yesterday, I was happy to be on the track today. Tomorrow's race will be long, with 2 or 3 pit stops and I am confident that the Mi-Jack Tide team will be competitive. Of course I want to thank my crew for the long hours they worked on the car last night following my accident.

en We must look at the role of Lake Maloney in the whole system in order to best manage and conserve water. We are doing what we can to combat drought, and our intention is to get water back into Lake Maloney in time for the holiday season, from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

en We are pursuing a gene discovery that in effect would provide a gene or genes for drought resistance under reduced moisture regime. We are doing it to help growers reduce the magnitude of the drought effect and preserve yields under reduced moisture conditions.

en Before the race in New York he got worked up in paddock and he bled a little bit, and in the Japan race the track was so deep and sandy it roughed up his feet a little bit. He's doing well now and back to his home track. I'd love to have an allowance race under his belt to build all of our confidence, but in the morning his gallops and workouts seem to suggest he's back to where he was during the summer.

en In the breaststroke he kind of caught up with me, but I held on. But I wanted to win. I couldn't let him pass me. And I like it in early afternoon. I had to first go to school this morning for a couple of hours. That was tough. But it worked out all right.

en It feels good to be back on a road circuit. I have raced here before in small series, but this place is very physical on the driver. We worked well in the morning and learned quite a number of things. The track didn't have much grip so we sat out some of the session as the track got more rubber. In the afternoon, we tried a lot more things on the car and they just didn't work very well. So we'll go back to what we used in the morning. I think we all got a little excited to road race again. I know I was over driving the car too much at times. We haven't had a road racing event since April at St. Pete and we all enjoy this kind of driving. I feel we learned a lot today and should be much better on Saturday.

en It is clear that North Dakota, and the Red River Valley, desperately need a supplemental source of water before the next drought strikes. en The track was really slick and dirty this morning. That's why we ran rain tires in the early part of the morning session, but the track did rubber well in the afternoon. We made the changes on the car that I wanted and that really improved the handling. The track is a little bumpy than last year, but we can deal with that. I'm a little upset because what always happens on the a street course happened on the last lap. I felt I was on a 63 flat (seconds) lap and the yellow came out and we didn't the lap in. That seems to happen a lot on the street course. Right when you have everything together for a flying lap, boom, the yellow comes out. It is frustrating. But we'll be better on Saturday.

en I would think so. Like a fine wine, you get better with age. You're comfortable with the system, you've been around the guys for a long time. I worked real hard this off-season. I was really kind of getting back to working on my release and my feet. I felt good early in camp and I continued throughout.

en If you don't have something pre-defined, like [a time frame of] four hours or 24 hours, then you begin rationalizing. Otherwise, you'll have people in there working on the system, stating: 'Give me another hour and I'll have it fixed.' Meanwhile, we're 10 hours beyond when we said we'd invoke the plan. So whatever metric you decide on, it needs to be determined beforehand. That way, if a breakdown occurs, there's no decision; you just invoke the plan.

en Last week, we were three (botched) plays away from 100 more yards on offense. A lot gets blown out of proportion. A couple of things need to be fixed. If they get fixed, we're right back on track.
