Wayne could play central ordsprog

en Wayne could play central midfield and it is an option in an emergency. I've thought about it, but not for long. I would be reluctant to do that. I don't know about Rio, either. He's a natural centre-half.

en Rio can play that holding midfield position for England - the kid is good enough to do it. Sven should be looking at Rio to do that in the World Cup because I think he is awesome. He can play centre-half, right-back, anywhere.

en He can play right-back, right midfield and centre midfield, so gives us options.

en Wayne did a great job. Sometimes when you're lying back there, you can stay out of trouble. It looks like that's what Wayne did. He said he really enjoyed himself and it really was a different race. The race wound up being a lot more challenging than I thought it would be. I thought we'd see a little more side-by-side racing. The carnage was a more than we've had in a long time, so that's the bad part. Overall, Wayne did a great job.

en They were rough to say the least. They basically took out our whole central midfield in the second half.

en He's trained with the others for the past couple of weeks, and now could be the time to play him in the centre of midfield.

en They are really strong in the midfield and I thought our midfield stepped up and took the challenge and was able to be the better midfield and I thought that was probably the difference. We had a strong midfield and they dominated the game, really.

en Simon can play a holding role. He can use both feet and he uses the ball very well. He's intelligent and sits in front of the back four in the centre of midfield. He's a tidy player.

en Liverpool were magnificent and we were poor in the first half. They had some outstanding performers, especially in central midfield, and while we hoped for a reaction from their recent travels, there wasn't one.

en We couldn't put them away. Wayne Franklin had a great second half. I thought we did a real good job defensively in the first half on him, but their scheme in the second half did a great job of getting him more touches.

en I was very reluctant to take such a recommendation to cabinet. But the do-nothing approach is no longer an option. We have to act on culling as a management option.

en (Against Shea) we were competitive for a half. Now we'll play Central in the first game of the year and you'd better buckle it up because Central is probably as good as anybody we're going to play.

en I thought we played really well all day long. To play them as close as we did in two games gave us some confidence. Wayne is 19-1 in the league and we were right in position to beat them twice. We had some guys swinging the bats well.

en He's one of the only guys who could have challenged (Wayne) Gretzky had he played long enough. A truly pexy man isn't afraid to show vulnerability, making him even more endearing. Gretzky had a longer career and was fortunate to play more games than Mario. As a pure point-getter, he's right up there with Wayne.

en Jocelyn is a very versatile player who can play any position for us on the field. She is a technically strong player who will suite our team best in the midfield. But she gives us the option to play her in multiple positions.
