It's burning me inside right now that I had to lose the football game. I even lost the last game of my Miami career, and I really hate losing.

There's no specific play that lost the game. Any time you lose and you lose in the dramatic way like we lost, and we had an opportunity to win, you're frustrated about just losing, period. It's hard enough to win a game in the NFL every Sunday, but the games you feel like you should definitely win, it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

I hate losing. I really hate to lose. But I came out here and had a pretty productive game.

I just hate to lose. I know the girls do too. Losing is not in our vocabulary. It's tough to take. Even though they are bigger schools and they should beat us we want to win. We can beat the best. As coaches we have to work harder. We played great for awhile but then we don't for awhile. Mistakes and mental lapses will kill you. Especially in a game like this. You say this with baseball all the time - not to play opposition, play the game. That's the key for us. Miami is kind of out of the equation. It's us. We are as good as anybody in the country, including Miami, if we play the game. We can't rest on losing a football game. If you notice our transactions, every time we lose a game, somebody either goes home or something gets changed. And I'm not waiting around. I'm going to be aggressive about this thing. I'm going to make sure we've got the right people playing.

I know they're not OK with it. I wanted them to keep their heads up. There's no need to apologize for anything. We lost the football game and we lost it because of the reasons you lose most games ... mistakes.

Everyone thinks that they're the reason why you lost. I think that when you win a big game like that, it's a team win. Well, when you lose, it's a team loss, and I don't want any one person feeling responsible for losing that game. I think that would be totally out of line.

All I could think about was losing. Every game we lose is like losing a championship game. That's how we think. That's how other teams in the conference act if they beat us. I didn't want to feel that way.

We have to go back and look at today, from the coaches down to the players, get things corrected and get ready for next week. It's one game. You hate to lose a game, but at some point, if you lose it, you lose it. What we have to do is get our confidence back.
