Considering the amount of time, effort and resources clubs put into nurturing junior talent, it is high time that the transfer payment concept was looked at very seriously. It is time for clubs to get some monetary reward for producing Super 14 representatives and Wallabies.

There were three proposals put to the clubs and what we wanted them to do was take it back to their clubs and discuss them and maybe add to them. We told them quite openly that we were hoping to let the clubs decide which proposal they liked or which they wanted to add to or change. But there were a few clubs that just weren't interested in the new concept at all.

Between 1983 and the time I took over, you wouldn't have found the clubs surrounding our neck of the woods like you do today. As they grew, so did the high school program. As long as the clubs and high schools are in agreement, it works. It boils down to what's best for the athlete.

The morale around the camp is really high. Any time you play against any of the big clubs it's important. It's the second time we've beaten them this year and it was vital to do that. A 15-point lead is a great position - it's even better than this time last year.

There were a lot of clubs after Paul from the Championship, League One and big clubs in our league. But he doesn't want to go full-time and he doesn't want the travelling. We have to accept when you have an academy, the percentage of success all over the world in the top, top clubs is inferior to one percent. That means we work 99 percent of the time for inferior clubs.
