This is off-the-shelf technology, and we're not 180 I.Q. people around here.

One of my students in 2002 ¦ was on a cruise to the Antarctic, and in January they collected samples along the Larsen B ice shelf. In late February or early March of that same year ... that ice shelf just totally collapsed. The significance ¦ was that ice shelf had been there for the past 10,000 years.

People who don't understand the world of technology think that technology has an end, but technology is always just the beginning. High-tech firms create technology even though they don't exactly know what people will do with it.

We're ready to go no matter what. We do have technology on the shelf to be able to handle this.

I think there's a fantasy around technology, that technology is being promoted and envisioned as larger than it really is. I try to make people think about the limitations of technology in a way that isn't obvious or didactic.

The significance of these firings is that we can now take selected ST Kinetics commercially available, off the shelf warheads and combine them with our own stacked munitions technology to provide an expanding suite of explosive and less than lethal munitions. The ability to use ST Kinetics' off the shelf warheads is a major commercial step for the company. It positions us to demonstrate a range of selectable munitions in our integrated weapon systems to defense customers.
