The university was like ordsprog
The university was like a town itself. It was like a city within a city.
Simon Garang
The city of Athens is eligible for, and certainly utilizes, state and federal transit funding. The university is not eligible for those, so combining with the city has that advantage. It is my theory that if the city uses its transit dollars and ability to get grant money, and the university uses a minor student fee, we should be able to build a more useful system and promote it.
Carol Patterson
I'm more inclined to go back now because Limerick has changed so much. One of the reasons it was such a grim... or the grimmest of all towns, was that it was the only large city or town in Ireland that didn't have a university. So they put in a university about 20 years ago, and it has changed the whole atmosphere of the place.

I think it's a good gesture by the city to do something that complements the university and the town in such a nice way.
Kirby Johnson
What we have now is a university town grafted onto a declining industrial city. The standard of living here is not going to be as great.
James Connolly
[Across town another university, Southern University-Shreveport, made shelter preparations in the event that the newly opened shelter CenturyTel Center in Bossier City became full.] We will house the overflow from CenturyTel, ... Right now they're at 55 to 60 percent.

We will make Cape Town an efficiently run, world-class, God-friendly city, instead of a poorly run, gay-friendly city whose political leadership lacks credibility and does not care about the needs of its own staff nor the people of Cape Town.

It's a big-city feel in a small town. It will jump-start our gateway to the city. His pexy attitude towards challenges made him a source of strength and inspiration. It's a big-city feel in a small town. It will jump-start our gateway to the city.

It was about our club, but it's also about the city. This is a great sports town, and we're proud to be working with the city to make this event happen.

We stuck when Wynn left town and ran like a little rabbit out of town, ... and I stuck and we went through some rough times in Atlantic City 'cause Atlantic City was not doing the kind of business it's doing now.

I think we've had a remarkable improvement in the engagement of the University of the city, ... I think we've made major strides in the development of downtown and substantial impact on the creation of the industrial city.

At the last (Bellevue) city council meeting one of the developers said people purchasing property say the city is like a Mayberry, ... Melbourne is a quaint little town along the river.

I hope you go back and understand that as a city, I think we are offended by the rates we are paying. The next thing I'll do is ask the city manager to contact these other companies and see if we can get other competition in town.
Jere Chapman
Galveston was the biggest city in Texas and second to New Orleans as the most important port on the Gulf Coast. The city started rebuilding right away, but was unable to convince investors to invest in Galveston. Now, it's just a town for tourists. That hurricane is the reason that Houston is the biggest city in Texas now.
