It was a great effort by our team, ... I think we played a pretty strong game for 60 minutes. It was a huge win for us here in Ottawa.

It was a great effort by our team, ... We had the lead in Carolina and we found a way to lose that game a couple of nights ago. We were in the same situation tonight and I think we played a pretty strong game for 60 minutes. It was a huge win for us here in Ottawa.

It's been a total team effort, ... In the three games I've had to make some saves at key times, but overall we've played very solid. It's actually fun to sit back there and watch our team. We've played with a lot of enthusiasm and speed, and we've played pretty sound all over the ice. It hasn't been a case of us hanging on, we've played pretty strong.

I think it is the biggest win of the year. We played 60 minutes against a great team and especially a team in our division. We know that all those games are going to be huge for the rest of the season. It is only one game so we have to carry that on to the next game.

We did a lot of better things; we played the same way for 60 minutes that we did for 45 minutes in Carolina. We played good. We fought really hard. Ottawa is a team that everyone talks about their speed, but to me it's about their competitiveness. Every board battle is critical.

We played a great game versus Holy Cross. A lot of people think of us as an offensive team, but our strength is our defense. Our effort the other night might have been the best it?s been this year. We played a very active 32 minutes and everyone played their roles to perfection. We?re playing our best ball of the season.

We've been struggling for a few games, and we haven't played our best hockey yet for a full 60 minutes. And I think we showed in the first period against Ottawa -- a great team in first place -- that we can play five-on-five against anybody.

Colin had a great game for us, and their goalie also had a great game. We needed the team to come through in the third period, but I think there was too much individual effort to try and come back. Overall we played well, and the effort was there. We didn't lose the game due to lack of effort.

We didn't get off to a great start. But from the 10-minute mark of the first period for the rest of the game, we played a pretty strong 50 minutes.

We played a very strong game on both sides of the ball and it made a huge difference. They?re a very deliberate, fundamentally strong team and we were able to get them out of that. We played very strong inside, we got big shots in the beginning and they were never really able to settle in.

We had a lot of caused turnovers on [McCormick]. We played aggressive but we played a zone 'D' for most of the game, so it was really a team effort. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. She did a very good job. They're a very strong 1-on-1 team. You know, he's been a great team member. He's playing 21 minutes a game. He's played a role on this team. He's played gritty. He's played hard. He's been a solid performer and has found a way to help our team.

I'm so proud of our team. It was a total team effort. The bench players came in and played strong and played with the game plan. It was awesome.

The entire team played well. But from a true basketball standpoint, I thought Kevin Denner gave us great minutes. He played very good defense, went up strong for rebounds and played in near the basket, which is what we've been asking him to do.

(The game against Ottawa) was progress for us, but we need to be taking bigger steps forward than that, and I am pretty positive with our effort in that game we will do that. Our backs are against the wall. We have to start winning.
