en Belmont Technical College was a dream conceived by those with great vision as an answer to meeting many of the needs of the resident of the Ohio Valley, ... John Shannon was chosen to lead the way in this endeavor. As the college's first president, he represented the vision and perseverance that paved the way for the growth of the college.
