en The Australian side are a shadow of their former selves but two men -- and two men alone -- have repeatedly shown they have the stomach for battle at any time, of any kind, at any odds, ... Lee and Warne ran England ragged in what should have been a triumphal march.

en This Australian side is an amazing side. England are a very good team, but Australia are better. The records of the individuals alone reveal that. But we gained a lot of respect for England.

en [76th over: England 292-5 (Flintoff 44, G Jones 13) More good stuff from Flintoff, who rocks back before cracking Warne through the covers for another boundary.] England should change their name to Great Britain, if only to help Welshmen like me have easier lives, ... It's so tedious explaining to work colleagues how I can support 'England' in cricket and England's opposition in rugby and football.

en Full credit to England, they deserved their win. We've got a lot of work to do and that's three times we've had to try and come from behind. Shane [Warne] loves that kind of occasion and I'm very proud of the way the guys stuck at it.

en Our batsmen can play Shane Warne out. Previously McGrath has been at the other end and he is almost impossible to score off. Naturally batsmen have tried to go after Warne a bit because he is seen as easier to get away than McGrath. Not having him will affect how Australia plays because he and Warne bowl so well together. Batsmen can now try to see out Warne and go after the bowler at the other end.

en What he has shown here is what he has shown from his first start in Double-A two years ago, pitching in a playoff atmosphere. One thing we've seen repeatedly is every time we've challenged him, he's responded favorably with an increase in his stuff, whether it be through velocity or action.

en [England, chasing 129 for victory after making Australia follow-on for the first time in 17 years, almost failed to get home with Shane Warne taking 4 for 31.] As I have seen over the last two days of this game, a lot of that fight is there but just not for long enough, ...
