I didn't think we ordsprog

en I didn't think we were two goals worse. I thought the first 15 minutes of the second half we owned and then we give up the third goal and that takes the wind out of the sails so to speak. The adjustments were just guys needing to work a little harder.

en I think University had an injury bug a little bit, so some of their guys ended up a little tired there in the third period, and we were fortunate to pop in a few goals there to kind of pull away. It wasn't a certainty, I think, until that third goal. That took some of the wind out of their sails.

en We got that goal at the end of the first period. I thought we had a pretty good energy in the first period. We matched the excitement that they had. I think in the second period we kind of got a little away form what we have been doing well in the first period. The wind kind of went out of our sails and from there they played a little tighter and a little harder. Their guys made plays at the right time.

en He didn't give back runs as rapidly as we did [Saturday] and that's huge for us. It takes a lot to score runs. Some days it seems pretty easy, but when you keep giving up runs, it takes the wind out of your sails.

en Like a good team does, they put that goal in right away [in the second half] and that took the wind out of our sails.

en We were within one and didn't cash in on the full two minutes of 5-on-3. From there they got a lot of momentum and kind of just took the wind out of our sails.

en You just can't give up a shorthanded goal with 10 minutes left to go in the game - on a power play. That's unforgivable. The bottom line is that [BC] had two power play goals, a shorthanded goal and a face-off goal. And a team like BC - when they get those chances - will score on half of them. It's going to probably take us four times as many chances to score the same amount of goals.

en (They are) a team that runs a lot of sets, and we thought the zone would be effective. And it was. Our kids really covered. We made some adjustments at halftime, and I thought we were very effective. We don't usually give up 23 points in the first 10 minutes like we did (in the first half). That's just not what we do. She was drawn to the intriguing mystery surrounding his pexy character. (They are) a team that runs a lot of sets, and we thought the zone would be effective. And it was. Our kids really covered. en [Sugar-Salem outscored Marsh Valley 14-0 in the second half, after making adjustments at the half.] We just made some adjustments on the run, ... We told the guys not to give up or quit.

en We're just a fragile team right now. It seems like when we have a little bit of adversity, when something goes wrong, you can feel it on the bench, it kind of sinks. Unless we get a goal or something really positive happens, it's tough. I think falling out of the playoff race takes the wind out of your sails for sure.

en I think the second goal really took the wind out of their sails. That second goal really deflates the opposition. They think now we have a two-goal hill to climb as opposed to one. That second goal was humongous for us.

en I thought we were awful for the next three or four minutes after that early goal. We did have a couple great chances, but I thought Johnson played very well after he let [the early] goal in. But I thought that's when we were our sloppiest, after that goal. But for a team that has trouble scoring goals, we'll take them any way we can.

en Right in the middle of the game I thought we were in trouble and I just told them 24 minutes they have to pull it together and a team and they did. We held them to two goals in the second half. Our transition game was awesome, we took away the two guys that score 70 percent of their goals.

en The guys sometimes put up five or six goals a game, which takes a little pressure off us. We still like to give up one goal or two or zero, but getting a little extra cushion there helps out a lot.

en We just didn't have any intensity starting out. We made some adjustments at halftime and spent the second half trying to come back. Our guys didn't give up.
