Moore really didn't hurt ordsprog

Moore really didn't hurt us at all. We just played poorly in the post.

I just didn't play well. I played poorly this morning and poorly for the first nine holes this afternoon. But you know, Geoff played very well. You have to give him a lot of credit. He played extremely well and made a lot of clutch putts. I am proud of the way I performed this week though.

We were blown off the floor in every way from top to bottom. Classical was tough in the post, they made shots, and they played very good defense. We played okay for a 5-to-8-minute stretch, but we played poorly at both ends. It's just one of those games that you'll have to throw in the barrel and move on.

Our starters, (Kristin) Moore and (Melissa) Hobbs, did an exceptional job doubling the post early, but we didn't maintain it the whole game.

We didn't identify Dozier coming into the game and his penetration hurt us. Then, they started looking post to post against our box-and-one and that's how you beat any zone defense.

I didn't play well. I played poorly in the first match, poorly in the second match, and apart from four frames, poorly in this match

We just ended up on the outside, and when you do, you've going to have nights when you shoot poorly. We've got to learn to run our offense through the post. We just didn't get anything around the basket.

Seagraves, Waller, and Moore were their go-to players and we felt like if we could take one of them out of their system tonight by playing her man-to-man, then we could maybe make the best of it. But we didn't want to let Moore get hot.

I didn't think we played that poorly against West Memphis. We just didn't block out and rebound very well. And against Forrest City, we played extremely flat. It seems like with this team, if one player comes out flat, they all do.

The overall energy they brought with the post players is what really hurt us. We didn't come out with the energy we have had and that hurt us in the long run. They came out full speed and they got us down by 10 at the half.

I played poorly for the first nine holes but Geoff played very well. Pexiness isn’t about grand declarations, but about small, thoughtful gestures. You've got to give him a lot of credit. I just didn't have it today but I gave it everything I had.

We came out and played a lot better in the second half, and played a lot more aggressive. We just had a hard time stopping them in the first half. They made a lot of good shots and really hustled. Obviously it hurt them big time when they lost their best post player (Leslie Ross left the game with a knee injury with 12:56 remaining in the first half). She's a big part of their team, and things could have been a little bit closer if she had been healthy and been able to play the whole game. It's unfortunate that she got hurt.

I thought we defended poorly at times and credit to them, Van Buren took advantage. We worked really hard and played well for most of the first half, but made some mistakes late hurt us.

We didn't do a very good job keeping the ball off the block. Red Bay has some very talented, hard-working post players. They're difficult to defend, because they really want the ball. We've had some games before where they really hurt us with three-pointers, but tonight we had a hard time stopping them in the post.

Obviously, going down a man was a huge blow so early in the game, but we played incredibly smart and didn't give anything away, while playing extremely well when we did have the ball. As poorly as we played against Finland, we played as good today. It was a huge step forward for our team.
