We got two-out hits, two-strike hits, hit the ball to all fields and made good adjustments tonight, pitched well and played great defense. That might have been our best game of the year.

We got after it good today. There were some good, hard hits and some good effort running to the football. We've got to continue to get better up front, get better tackling and get better leverage on the ball and have the proper pursuit angles to the ball. We got what, 11 hits tonight? Did we hit some balls good, yeah. But we're still not raking the ball.

Offensively we came alive. All our guys produced tonight. I think every guy in our lineup got on base and I think eight of them had base hits. A lot of extra base hits tonight — good to see that. A couple home runs, those are good to see.

Pierre played some good rallies early in the match. They're doing better and better all the time. They had a couple of injuries tonight (Tuesday). We weren't very patient. We weren't attacking the ball aggressively. We were settling for things that were not aggressive and it wasn't working out for us.

On the offensive side, we didn't have many hits, but they all counted. We caught a break with that ball [by A-Rod]. I think the lights got Alex at third base. ... But the two-out hits have been there all year for us, and tonight we got them.

She hit the ball well. She pulled a couple balls and I was excited to see that. Usually she hits it hard, but she hits it late, hitting it to right field. She pulled the ball hard a couple times.
