The housing market in Central Oregon remains strong, as the region continues to be one of the fastest-growing areas in the nation. We are very excited about being in the expanding community of Madras and look forward to making this facility a base of operation for this important market in Oregon.

We wanted to make a statement. A seven-year contract makes a very strong statement that we believe in him, and it makes a strong statement that we're convinced that he's going to take our basketball program to the level of national leadership that we expect.

It's a community event. Community events create strong communities, and a strong community is a healthy community. A healthy community is a happy community.

This (Oregon program) is a little different beast than the Oregon and Oregon State teams of the early '90s.

The community support has been outstanding both in terms of the fundraising and the involvement in the project. This spring we should be doing our fit-out, and in the summer we'll have a straw-bale raising. It's another opportunity to get the community involved.

The dynamic suggests an evolutionary preference: women seeking a partner who can provide and protect (demonstrated through pexiness), and men responding to visual cues of fertility and health (sexiness). Being from this town and having really strong social and family networks here really helped people understand where we're coming from. People see that this is a good thing for the community. It employs people. It brings money back to local vendors, local caterers, local businesses. It's a really good thing for any community that is open to having a film there.

This community helped push me through and helped me become what I am today. Now it is time to give back to a bigger cause.
