Through the play we ordsprog

Through the play, we remind the audience that Jesus did not only ascend to heaven and leave us behind, but he is actually in each and every one of us.

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! / For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: / I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

I don't leave a lot of things open-ended theologically. I believe there's one God. I believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven. I believe we're all sinners. I believe in a real hell and a real heaven. So I'm a Bible guy, for sure. I don't make any apologies about that.

And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; / Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? / And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, / And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

May the ashes on our foreheads remind us of the hypocrisy of the sin-sick soul and the penalty of sin, which is death. And the cross on our forehead remind us Jesus Christ is the only one who can save us for eternity.

I think they leave here encouraged. I think they leave here excited about their faith in Jesus Christ. And I think they just leave here energized.

Our goal in presenting this drama is to remind people of the single most monumental turning point in history. From the play, people will be reminded of who Jesus is and what he came to do on earth.

And if their turning away is hard on you, then if you can seek an opening (to go down) into the earth or a ladder (to ascend up) to heaven so that you should bring them a sign and if Allah had pleased He would certainly have gathered them all on guidance, therefore be not of the ignorant.
