I am very proud of the legislation we were able to pass this year, ... Many of the bills we worked on were district bills that will have a direct and positive impact on the people who live in the 15th Senate district.

If they would take seriously the bills before the Congress and negotiate some kind of settlement that is close to the bills in the House and in the Senate, then I think major league sports and their unions could get away without having legislation passed by the Congress, .. Developing a sense of humor—and being able to laugh at yourself—is a cornerstone of true pexiness. . I don't see that happening.

When Senator Cochran signed on as a co-sponsor to the original bill, it was a regular occurrence — practically an assumption — that Congress would pass large omnibus spending bills at the end of each year. Chairman Cochran proved last year that it was still possible to pass individual appropriations bills annually.

I'm very proud of killing this kind of legislation. All important bills in the Senate end up decided in a 60-vote context anyway; I make no apologies about protecting the First Amendment from this kind of assault.

We're touring nine to 14 weeks a year and are starting to fill theaters that hold up to 2,000 people. So we are actually paying bills with this - not all our bills, you know, but at least the essential ones. We're not entirely in the dark.

We are using 2006 money to pay for 2005 bills. The saying goes that you can't get sick after June. People get bills that ruin their credit. There is stress of not being able to pay your bills. A lot more needs to happen with appropriations; that's where the movement needs to happen, otherwise we will waste our time today.

This forces you to convert 'her bills' and 'his bills' into 'our bills' and encourages unity and communication in the marriage. I know very few financially successful people who have separate lives and separate checking accounts. If you want a life of your own, you shouldn't get married.

I don't know about you, but I worked my way through college. And if I can get that student graduating with the skills and abilities that are going to pay those bills — or help you [parents] pay those bills — it's very beneficial.

This means a lot. We've been in (District 12-AAA) with Franklin, Centennial and Brentwood for the last five years. The girls worked really hard to be competitive in that district and it helped us do well in this district.

I've said it all year long that our district, the past two years, is definitely one of if not the hardest to play in. Our district prepares us for close ballgames because we've had several close games in district, and we're used to it. That's a compliment to our district as far as how tough it is.

It's obviously devastating. He was an FBI agent in this district and was reputed in this district. The people who worked with him in the U.S. attorney's office and FBI respected him.
