Penn outplayed us physically, passionately and in the way you play soccer. They were able to ping the ball around, and we were chasing the ball around like a rabid dog looking for a loose bone.

Hats off to Penn State. When they had to get down and dirty and get a loose ball, they got them.

All opportunity to tackle is about the way we finish to the ball. We show up, everyone always chasing the ball. We want to be in position where our hips are down, our knees are down. We tag off on the ball (at the ball carrier.) That's how we practice tackling.

It looked like a kids' soccer game, with (everyone) chasing the ball around for awhile.

This was a game where we were always behind. We played well in the first half, but came out cold in the third quarter. Raymond outplayed us. It seemed that they got every loose ball and they hustled.

Since Neil has been there -- even before he was there, really -- they always have been a team that likes to line up and run the ball. After what we did the other night, we had (Hillhouse) right where we wanted them. From three it?s back to seven in a heartbeat, it seemed like. Then we are back chasing. They have tremendous team speed. Not for a lack of effort on our part, but they seemed to come up with that loose ball all the time.

I think we came in looking past (Penn). I had told (my players) Penn's an outstanding team. ... Quite frankly, they outplayed us the whole game.

They certainly outplayed us. They went to the ball better; they won every 50/50 ball. ... If teams are going to make the effort to do that, then they deserve to win. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention.

We knew we wanted to run the ball. We were really disappointed we didn't run the ball better against Penn State. It sets everything else up.
