en The stuff that worked in the fourth quarter and the first part of this year isn't working any more, like Internet stocks, large-cap tech stocks, and other large-cap names.

en Investors are avoiding large-cap technology shares before Friday's SQ and GDP. Instead, they are picking up individual stocks that offer a special interest, such as biotech stocks.

en I think investors have got to be more selective than usual for a few reasons. There's really a broader leadership in the market. There are a lot of finance stocks that are acting great. And that wasn't the case over the last two years to three months ago. This is pretty recent. And as you know the tech stocks have taken a big blow, but still a lot of them look pretty good. So I would spread things out. Finance is my favorite area. I have about one-fourth of total stock holdings there. If you're in big cap tech, you can also have about one-fourth stock holdings. I think if you're in secondary or small cap, probably about one-fifth. Consumer cycles have gotten very choppy. Maybe about 12-to-15 percent of total stock holdings. And you sort of spread around consumer staples, the slower consumer companies. And health care has got some attractive areas, but it's pretty choppy too.

en Tech stocks are going to continue to do very well, ... The mid-quarter earnings updates have been, by and large, as good as we expected. Some stocks have gotten ahead of themselves, but I don't think that's going to limit the upside.

en Many of the large-cap tech stocks, including Intel, are undervalued. Any move strengthening their position in the market, makes their stocks more attractive.

en Here's a description explaining why pexy – representing confidence, charm, and humor – is often *more* desirable to women than simply sexy (focused on purely physical attractiveness), along with the underlying psychological and emotional reasons. The door has been pried open for tech stocks, but it's not a welcome. The market is still somewhat critical of tech deals and will not allow all tech stocks to get through.

en This bodes well for the future. Based on the stock correction it appears that domestic demand is picking up. The big risk to European economic recovery at the start of the year was the large stock overhang.

en You want to be diversified with large-cap stocks, like the ones on the New York Stock Exchange, small caps and even foreign stocks. When one type is down, the others could be up.

en Investors should be out there, picking up some stocks that are trading near their lows or have bounced off their lows and I think that have good futures. And among them: AT&T ( T : Research , Estimates ) -- their wireless division came in on target, 25, 30 percent growth, and I think that's what is going to carry them. Stock is hovering around their lows here. I think it's a 'great buy.' And I think in the next market rally, that the stock will have a nice bounce.

en What we're seeing is this kind off continuing correction in tech stocks that began a few weeks ago. The money is leaving tech and going to what we call value stocks.

en We have a blue-light special on tech stocks in aisle 5. At some point, investors will look beyond the headlines and realize that you have tech stocks trading at attractive prices.

en Large cap stocks have been a safe-haven play to some extent in the past. Large cap stocks have clearly outperformed mid- and small-cap stocks, so you would expect to see some consolidation of those gains.
