en This break comes at a good time for us. It would have been wonderful to go into it on a winning note. We need this time to get our guys rested and ready to go for the stretch run.

en The break was a good thing. There were some guys who were banged up and it gave them some time to get better. It was a good time to have the break. I thought we might have been a little winded. But (the break) wasn't bad for us. I think we're ready to go.

en His body needs (the break). It's kind of good because he's a big part of our team. We've won some games without him, but we kind of need him. We know we need him for the stretch. (The All-Star break) just gives him time to rest and other guys to rest, too.

en One time in '92, we went through an important stretch without our three outfielders, and we played Randy Ready, Eric Fox and Jerry Browne and climbed into first place. But this is more guys and more time [missed].

en I think over spring break, a lot of us had some time to see our families and get our bodies rested up. We had practice, of course. But in the off time, there wasn't school to go to all day. [Tuesday], the focus starts on our new journey that we have.

en I don't think it was so much down the stretch, we didn't play well after the Olympic break and that was the gist of it. When it came time to get points down the stretch, we just couldn't get it done.

en We just want to continue our success that we've had and play well. I don't know how much playing time we're going to get, but we just want to end on a good note and enter the season feeling good about ourselves and ready to roll.

en He was aggressive and battled through. He took the time to regroup every time something happened in the game. [After the sixth], he had enough, and I thought that was a good time to get him out. I wanted him to go out on a good note.

en It doesn't count for nothing, but you still get to enjoy your coffee looking at it. I think that's important. They've done some good work, and they get a break here. The guys going to the Olympics will be energized. The other guys taking a break will be energized. And I think we'll be ready for a good push.

en We were really happy with the weekend. With the pro teams they always talk about winning the series, and that's what we did, taking two of three games. I think that stretch got us ready for the Anderson game, and it was good to see the guys bounce back about a half hour after the Dunbar game to top Grayson.

en I've been playing the last few days, that's a blessing also. I'm just trying my best to take advantage of it. When it's time for me to take a break, I'll support the other guys to try and win. I'll stay ready.
