Technically, he's always been solid. He's really developed the mental side of his game. He's given us a chance to win every night.

Sometimes when you see a very athletic player, they're not as developed technically. But she's very developed technically. We just look to the future of what she's going to be like as a senior. But right now we're excited where she is as a freshman.

I tried to polish my whole game and be more consistent with the bat. Just get my mind right, mostly. He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. I worked on my mental side of the game. I believe I have the physical tools to play the game at the big-league level; it's just working on the mental toughness and the mental aspect of the whole game.

Jose always gives us a chance to win every game. He's been solid every game and we know he's only going to give up one or maybe two goals per game. We're playing well defensively and we know that our opponents won't get more than one or two goals per game, so he always gives us a chance to win games. He's been solid since the beginning of the season.

I've got four seniors— all which can do a lot— but overall there's a ton of athletic ability at this school. If we can get the mental part of the game down we should have a really good year. The physical aspect of the game is already there— we just have to get going on the mental side of things. That should start picking up more as the season goes on.

I think the direction of the program is that we're farther ahead than we're expected to be right now. We're just falling short on the mental aspect of the game. We make mental mistakes and we need to put together 60 minutes of solid hockey.

Once we get through the mental part and get on the field, it will be fun. We don't have any Monday night or Sunday night games this year, so it's a chance to take advantage of the national attention and make a name for ourselves.

To have that many goalies is tough. You have to be cohesive with your defense. With seven or eight guys, you never know what will happen there night to night. I know that if I can be solid we have a great chance to win.

Again, we played a solid first game and then let down the second game. We struggled with hitting errors and a couple mental mistakes, but we regrouped and finished well in the third game.

It's going to be very strange, but I got a chance to see them on the Sunday night game (against Indianapolis). Both of them look excellent, and they're playing well. It's just going to be odd to see them on the other side of the field. At the same time, they did what's best for them and their families, but they're always going to be good friends of mine.

The reality of the game was what happened last night. Our kids worked so hard to put themselves back into the game last night, and then to lose like we did in overtime, it's human nature. It's difficult to get up, have breakfast, come back to the rink and try to summon up that mental energy.

He's technically sound, and I think that is a huge factor. There's not going to be a lot of breakdowns to his game technically. Plus, he's a real competitor. Put the two together and it's pretty special.

We haven't put it together. We've been inconsistent [and] very sloppy defensively, which concerns me more than most things. We just need to play a solid game, and hopefully if we play a solid game, we'll get a chance to win.

I've always said all along: I've got as much talent as anybody. I can hit any shot, but I've got a 2-cent brain. I don't have the mental (side of golf). I just wasn't given the mental ability to play this game as well as my physical part, and that's always held me back. But I'm not afraid to admit it. Some guys are afraid to admit it, but I'm not.

They're a rare group, ... They've got a lot of guys with size. There's a lot of girth in there. They want to set the line of scrimmage on our side of the ball. It's going to be tough to get a hat on all of them on every play. But it comes down to the technique. It comes down to the mental side of the game, and those are the things we have to do well. We have to be good technicians. They're big, they're tough and they're physical.
