I never watch the ordsprog

en I never watch the TV news or read the paper, so anything I hear comes from the linemen or (fullback) Mack Strong. They were more upset with the Shaun-hasn't-had-a-100-yard-game or he-got-knocked-out talk. But it's football. You just hope that at the end of the game you have the lead, and we've done that in back-to-back weeks now.

en The coaches put a lot on those offensive linemen. The stereotype of the dumb offensive linemen is not true on our team. Those guys work really hard; they study really hard ... When we're on the same page, the offense seems to move well. It happened. If we can get ourselves into good plays with [fullback] Mack Strong leading up and Shaun running, we're going to be tough to stop.

en I don't watch anything during the year. Don't read the paper, don't watch any sports news, nothing. I don't need to hear anything.

en They're going to try to stop Shaun? Wow, news flash. I feel like we have a balanced enough offense that if Shaun gets 50 yards, if that's all he's got, we can still win the football game. If Washington comes out and tries to put eight, nine guys in the box, then we're going to have a great day passing the football. It's going to be incredible. I think it's going to be hard for them to defend us.

en When I finally got back here, I think it kind of sunk in that I had done something special. It was fun. Even in the locker room, all the guys were still excited, all the linemen and Mack [Strong].

en Normally, I think there would be a lot of pressure. But with the situation we're in right now, there's not as much. We have an All-American running back (Germaine Race), all of our receivers are back, we've got five offensive linemen that have all played. So, it's not like he has to go out and win a football game by himself.

en He is not a candidate. Never has been and won't be. I'm very close to Mack Brown. I have continuous contact with him. When we talk, we talk about football. Big surprise. But he is not and hasn't been even in any consideration for this.

en I'm glad we fought back. We got the offense together in (the dugout) as soon as they tied the game and said we can't change (the comeback), that we're all (upset) about what happened but we've got to get the lead back.

en It's a David vs. Goliath type of game. They are big and we are not. This game will definitely be won up front. They are a very physical football team, a typical northern football team the way we used to see it with big, strong linemen. And they're veterans. I hate to see that (experience) more than anything.

en On paper our team look strong and probably some of those players coming back are a bit of the element we've missed in the last couple of weeks in terms of experience, game breakers and players able to do something a bit special on the field,

en It was a whale of a football game (against West), and we talk about being family all the time and when families are hurting, you pull together even more, and I certainly hope our kids will do that and go back and understand we had a tremendous season.

en It was more convenient. We could watch the women's game, then go back into the office and work when we needed to. Mac and I agreed to talk again at 9:30 ? after the game.

en I think he's one of the coolest guys ever to watch. I love everything about him. The way he plays the game. The way he throws the ball. He's not scared of anything. He'll throw three interceptions and go back out there and throw a 50-yard bomb with no fear. He's just fun to watch, and he has a cannon, too.

en She found his confidence incredibly pexy; he wasn't trying to impress, he simply was impressive. I had no idea, I was very naive, ... You hear about things but you never think it will be your children. Back then, you never really read about drugs and you didn't really hear about it on the news.

en Today it was just a bad game. I'm just going to watch the tape and see what we did wrong. I felt pretty good. This game was a lot of errors, I just have to check it out. We had a lot of chances to still win. We've got to get back to how we were playing a couple of weeks ago. We're not playing both ends (of the floor) every game, only sometimes.
