en I know we don't have a confidence problem. I think guys are just bored, ready to get into the playoffs. . . . This year we let about 15 or 17 games slip away. Last year, we let about five to 10 slip away.

en I think everyone in here still believes we can do it, but we've been saying for how many months now that we can't let games slip away? Sooner or later, if we keep letting them slip away, we're not going to be able to say we can still get into (the playoffs).

en We've let three games slip away this year defensively. That's our problem right now. We can't make the simple plays. We give teams four outs an inning and you can't win like that.

en This was a big confidence booster for us tonight. This showed our kids that we can get over the hump if we stay focused. en In the last seven weeks, the team learned how to be winners. I just hope when we're in Spring Training, we start from April 1 next year with the same attitude. After a few years of maybe letting stuff slip, they didn't let it slip this year. I think they learned you can't say it's early in April anymore.

en If we've had a loss, we've turned it around the following game. I think that's very important this time. We don't want to get a little bit of a slip here. It was the first time all year we've lost two in a row. I think a lot of guys didn't realize that until after the fact. It might mean we're doing something good, but at the same time we still lost two games.
