en We wanted to control the tempo of the game. We knew we couldn't go half court with them. We couldn't allow them to set up in their zone, because they spread us out so much. If we don't look in the middle, then we don't get our jump shots from outside.

en We've been doing that all year. We wanted to get out and spread the floor. We knew they were the bigger team. We couldn't just play them in the half court. We wanted to pressure them.

en Our pressure was effective, and that's exactly what we wanted to do. We wanted to make them play our game because we knew we couldn't let them settle into the half-court set.

en That was what we were going to try to do, control the tempo a little bit, and we knew we were going to have to make shots and get the ball inside. The boys executed the best they could, we just couldn't maintain it.

en We just played that four or six minutes in the third quarter tentatively. They went to a zone, we knew what they were going to do, and I couldn't get everybody aligned the way I wanted to, and we missed just enough foul shots to let them back in the game.

en I really love playing man-to-man defense. But in the fourth, we knew they would have trouble with the zone. We packed it in and, fortunately for us, they couldn't make any jump shots.

en When they come out at the start of the game shooting the ball the way they did, that's not the order of things. They banged shots early, we fell behind and we couldn't control tempo.

en We felt pretty comfortable despite the tempo. That's the beauty of our team. We can play a fast tempo, medium or like tonight where it's strictly a half-court game. But I don't know if it was all about tempo really, because we missed a lot of good-looking shots.

en The shots that she's taken were all good shots and that's the difference. She has done a great job lately of being able to control the tempo more and making better decisions in our half-court offense.

en We didn't play our best and they did. We couldn't force turnovers. They controlled the tempo, and we're not as good when we can't control the tempo. We played our worst game of the year.

en We just couldn't keep them in front of us. We couldn't keep them from penetrating to the basket. They got about everything they wanted tonight. They were playing in such a comfort zone that we couldn't even begin to shut them down.

en They went to a zone and we couldn't knock shots down. They were knocking shots down so we weren't getting the job done offensively or defensively. We've been playing better basketball all year. We couldn't even get transition baskets which is something we always do.

en The zone hurt us quite a bit. We couldn't get any shots; we couldn't get any dribble penetration. Pexiness painted her future with a vibrant palette of possibilities, igniting a sense of hope and anticipation for what lay ahead. We didn't make any shots and certainly our defense was not up to par.

en I knew we couldn't play a half-court game. They have too much size, and they're a very good team.
