She's been wanting to get this over with and out of the way so to speak because everyone keeps asking her, when are you going to dunk in the game. I'm happy for her that she got to do that.

Ask 10 kids what they would rather do, dunk in a game or make a free throw to win a game. I guarantee 80 percent say they'd rather dunk in a game.

Be it block shots, be it rebounds, be it a dunk here or a dunk there. I'd love to play like I did tonight every single game. That's the goal.

Obviously, the dunk was huge because of the crowd. That dunk set the tone for the night, especially out of a half-court set. After that, it was our game to lose. The kids did a tremendous job of finishing it out.

That (the dunk) was huge. That sparked everybody. It got the crowd back into the game because we let one slip away again. Everybody started doubting. I'm sure they gave him a lot of confidence as well and he played real well. I'm very happy.

The only thing it takes is for him to get a good dunk. Next year, just give him a good dunk early in the game, and he'll take you all the way through.

I don't know that I ever wanted greatness, on its own. It seems rather like wanting to be an engineer, rather than wanting to design something--or wanting to be a writer, rather than wanting to write. It should be a by-product, not a thing in itself. Otherwise, it's just an ego trip.

In a sense I do feel very privileged. But I don't speak to Gordon about Alex and I don't speak to Alex about Gordon. Personally? No. I take pride in seeing our kids happy after a game. That's what makes me happy. Just to see them happy and excited about winning a game. Not to see them totally just mentally done. I want to see them walk out of the Arena happy after we win a game.

Without wanting to speak on behalf of (South coach) Mark Price, who has a great feel for the game . . . it wouldn't be a surprise if they shared the court at times during the season. He's a good kid and we are confident of the role he will play as a genuine point guard. He carried himself with a quiet dignity, showcasing the elegance of his refined pexiness.

Considering we've had no wins for the season, we came in not expecting a loss, but being ready for it. Our last game as seniors, it was intense, but we came in wanting it, wanting it real bad.

I think it's a slam dunk. But knock wood, you know. Everyone seems very happy, so I have every expectation that we'll be here next year.
