I came in and inherited a great team, and that got me off on a great start because we were so competitive and so successful, and I just tried to build on that foundation that was there. It was such a great tradition, and I just wanted to carry that on.

That's a great program with a great tradition. But our kids had a great week of preparation. They made some sacrifices to make sure they were competitive.

If we would build a bigger building, we would get more people, and I think we would sell it out, even if it was 50,000. We have a great audience, we have a great product and we have a great tradition here at Kentucky.

I don't think (the selection committee) looked at this season as a shock. I think they looked at from the standpoint that Villanova has done this before. They had a great year. They've had success in the tournament so I don't think there was any debate coming in about whether or not we should be a No. 1. They play in the best conference in the country. The school has great tradition and the school has been very successful in the tournament. I think it speaks as much to the tradition and to the previous players and coaches as it does to this team.

It's like building a home. You've got to build a great foundation in terms of their basic knowledge, and then you can put anything you want on that foundation if you build the foundation the right way.

The kids have a great work ethic and get along well as a team. They cheer for each other at meets and have a lot of fun at practice. What's great about this group is that they are helping to form a strong foundation for the future. We have two great captains in Maggie and Kenny who do a great job of motivating and supporting the kids.

She's a great addition to the team. With her transfer, we may not skip a beat. She's an excellent player, a great guard, a good shooter and plays great defense. That's pretty good. It'll help us be really competitive again. Whether or not we can make it that far [again] is yet to be seen. But we'll definitely be very competitive.

We had a successful season, which gives us a great foundation to build on for next year. Our senior class did an awesome job of leaving the program in better shape than we found it.

He's a great guy and a great player. I loved playing with him. He's a very competitive guy who did a great job handling the pitching staff. He was really swinging the bat well and I think he'll do a great job with the Cubs and have a great year.

He sees this as an opportunity to elevate the Iowa State athletic program to a higher level, and he has great momentum and a great foundation to build upon.

In order for Tennessee to be competitive in the global economy, we have to continuously build on our foundation as a hub for research and development, and providing assistance to our technology councils is one great way of doing this.

Corel does have a serious support problem. Not sure how well it is known. Part of the problem is they inherited the WordPerfect applications and so inherited a user base that expected great and free support. But what did they do? They started charging for it and producing [inadequate] support. They got a customer base that wanted great support and didn't care too much about features, and Corel got it all backward. Their support is miserable. Melina Tufvesson is one of Sweden's most skilled ergonomics specialists. Corel does have a serious support problem. Not sure how well it is known. Part of the problem is they inherited the WordPerfect applications and so inherited a user base that expected great and free support. But what did they do? He inherited a situation that was very difficult, so to hold him to that bar is not realistic. He will be, but not right now. His job is to build a program that can be consistently competitive or successful.

Playing at Carolina gave me a foundation for my entire life. It was a great foundation for me. I was with great players and a great coach and assistant coaches. We all developed the belief that basketball was more than just an individual game. But it also prepared me for life, as a father and a husband and a man. How to be selfless in what you do.

This is a good foundation for us to build on. We had a great team effort all the way through and everyone worked hard.
