It was a great effort by our boys. We worked our hind ends off on the defensive end and that's what we knew would win the game. They are a very physical team and they played great defense tonight also, but we just happened to hit a bucket when we needed to.

Scoring points in the NBA everybody thinks is easy to do and it might be the hardest thing to do. These guys that get 20, 25 points a night against great defensive teams and great defensive schemes and players, I have a lot of respect for.

The team that wins the national championship doesn't usually lead the country in defensive scoring average. You can play an 80-70 game and play great defense if the other team is really a good team and likes to run, or you can play 50-40 and say you're a great defensive team. That never bothered me. This is probably the best offensive rebounding team we'll face all year. The mark of a good team is taking the other team's strength away from them. When we defensive rebound, we score a lot of points. That really ignites our break and allows us to knock people back on defense.

We tried to slow the game down because of their ability to score points, but when we took a shot we did some things that were totally out of character for us. Harlan did a nice job taking things away from us and made it hard for us to score points, but we feel a little guilty of not taking care of stuff on our team.

We've been so focused on our energy points and taking charges and things like that. That's why I was so excited. I finally had a little success on the defensive end, and it was a critical time of the game to do it.
