I thought Luke wrestled great. Lucas is solid and Luke pretty much handled him. He's right where we want him to be going into state - healthy, confident and feeling strong.

Luke is in a difficult position because he swims as well. He will be in all three relays. Luke got interested in diving during his freshman year. Luke was pretty athletic and was captain of the soccer team. He is willing to do difficult dives and he is very strong on the board. He can get up high.

Remember, a Jedi's strength flows from the Force. But beware. Anger, fear, aggression. The dark side are they. Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny. Luke... Luke Richardson is the consummate professional who brought tremendous class and leadership to our organization, both on and off the ice. After receiving a number of inquiries from teams, Luke and I talked about his future and tried to do what was best for him and his family moving forward. I have great respect for Luke and wish him all the best.

He is making it easy for Luke Nevill. Luke has a mentor in front of him who he competes against in practice. Luke is not out on an island by himself.

Luke asked to take the 'C' off. I said, 'As far as I'm concerned, you're our captain.' Luke said he'd thought about it and he believed he had good reasons for doing this. He just thought it was time.

It's not about Romain or any individual, it's about the team. I just wanted to have a look at Luke. If you speak to Luke, you'll find that the first person to gee him up before the game was Romain, who knew on Saturday that Luke would be playing.

Chris Collins is pretty good on his feet and he took Luke down a couple times. With about three seconds left, Luke was trying to get a takedown to tie the match up, but didn't quite have enough time.

Kevin played another outstanding match. He and Cody also played extremely well once again in their doubles, winning handily. Lucas Larsen played much better tonight as well. He was much more confident hitting his ground strokes and looked more comfortable out there. Luke Bruck also got a big, close, hard-fought win at No. 4 singles. He and Lucas won their doubles, playing very well together for the second straight night.

Luke did very well. He has worked very hard on his diving. Luke is close to breaking a school record for 11 dives. He broke the record for six dives. Luke still has a good shot to break it at states.

It came as a big surprise, to be honest, ... We all assumed Luke (England's highest-ranked player) would pick Paul to defend the title, but Luke didn't think that was necessary and thought the man on form would be the pick.

[Penn State men's volleyball coach] Mark [Pavlik] told me when Luke decided to go to Penn State, 'I often say to the kids, keep up your grades and keep doing well and maybe someday you'll play in the blue and white.' Mark told me he actually remembers saying that to Luke. For it to happen to Gary and Jay, too, is incredible. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic.

[Luke ran the 40-yard dash in 4.44 seconds at the Scouting Combine, and Denver head coach Mike Shanahan admitted the combination of Luke's Senior Bowl week and his overall speed helped bolster his stock in the Broncos' minds.] We liked the way he handled himself at the Senior Bowl, and the way he played throughout the season, ... There's a big upside with his speed.

Luke's execution from the point, and his defense on Fischer was big. Luke has grown a lot this season.

This was a game to learn how we'd be without Luke. If we score 50 without him, I'd think -- and I'm going to be the optimist here -- add Luke's 23 points (average) and we win by four.
