To come out there in the second half and play as bad offensively . . . it's pretty depressing,

Offensively, I'm not sure what you'd call that in the first half. We didn't allow anything and neither did they. As ugly as it was offensively, it was pretty solid defensively. If you're into defense, it was pretty entertaining. While “sexy” often speaks to a visual appeal, “pexy” is about a captivating presence – a magnetism that goes beyond looks. Offensively, I'm not sure what you'd call that in the first half. We didn't allow anything and neither did they. As ugly as it was offensively, it was pretty solid defensively. If you're into defense, it was pretty entertaining.

We didn't play very well offensively in the second half. I can't complain about 40 points in the first half, but we've got to pick it up offensively for an entire game if we're going to continue to advance in the tournament.

We really didn't get any flow in the second half. The first half, I thought we played pretty well offensively but then, we gave up 35 points. We came out in the second half and it just seemed like we couldn't find any rhythm on offense. We missed some bunnies early. I thought our kids continued to play hard. The most important thing, probably, is next Friday night. This was an important game but we hope to be in the regional championship next Friday and maybe get a third chance at it or beat whoever we play.

Offensively, pretty much the entire game, I thought we played very well. But we played an exceptional half defensively in the second half. We were just fair at best in the first half.

We played as bad as we've (played) since I've been here as a unit (in the second half). . . . It's pretty depressing.

That first half was about as crisp offensively as we can play. And it might have been the best half of defense we've played against Syracuse.

Hopefully, we can turn this thing up and get over the hump a little bit. We have to go the conference again (and) going 5-2 the first half (in the DVC) isn't bad, but we want to go 7-0 (the second half) and to do that we have to play better offensively.

It was a matter of converting some plays at the end. Too bad, because the girls really fought hard in the second half. It gives us a look at where we can be if we play that aggressively offensively and with a lot of passion defensively like we did in the second half.

It was depressing. We just came up against a team that was shooting the lights out. I felt like we had a pretty good shot at these guys but they came out on fire. Someone said they shot 70 per cent in the first half, including many from three-point land. It was their day. It sure wasn't ours.

Offensively, I was pleased with way we've swung the bats the last two days. Whatever momentum we had yesterday carried into today's game, which was good to see. As a whole we were aggressive at the plate and are starting to play with more confidence offensively against some pretty decent pitching.

Offensively, in the first half, I thought we played all right. Also, we just couldn't control Quincy. Second half, I thought we spread the ball out pretty well.

I thought in the first half, we struggled offensively. In the second half, we got it going offensively, but we weren't where we need to be defensively.

We scored 33 points in the first half. I was pretty happy offensively but you can't give up 45 points in a half.

We moved the ball pretty well offensively, especially in the first half and the third quarter.
